Is the movie doing more good than harm for the kidnapped kids?
they didn't just start allowing the film to be made. First the Disney wouldn't sell to them. They got blocked out of the theaters. Then they experimented using indie Christian films on how to crowdsource and advertise a film. Finally they created a new financial model that they are actually getting copyrighted/trademarked in order to get the movie in theaters.
yes, Ballard is a Mormon and worked for the three letter agencies. Then he left. I would assume his allegiances are different than most people. But at the end of the day, this movie probably raises awareness and helps people.
yes, many many people in the three letter agencies are Mormons and that is known in the Mormon community as a source of pride. They are allegedly chosen because they don't drink or smoke and can't be blackmailed and have integrity.
When you're wrestling in the mud, you're bound to get a little messy. I'm not seeing seeing anything here that suggests this movie is duplicitous out that Ballard is somehow compromised. All I see is connections to people who are. Are there any in: Hollywood who aren't? If not then how would one ever create a movie without rubbing shoulders with them?
You are asking the right questions. I have been having similar thoughts. I have no idea about Ballard, or Cavaziel or Gibson or the director, but the question of why are they allowing it, especially after suppressing this stuff for so long.
I've seen what look like ops on other sites pushing narratives around needing to prove your kids are yours and not some random kids that you kidnapped. They are trying to scare parents into digital ID of some kind (maybe using chips, as you stated). They are coming at it from all angles - virus/vaccine tracking, cyber attacks and disinformation policing, stopping "dangerous" views that disagree with the manufactured mainstream, keep your kids safe, etc.
People get over stuff (like the covid tyranny) and afraid to think just how evil those with power are but also just want to "get back to how things were" and so they either declare premature victory or stick their heads in the sand. It doesn't change the fact that this is the goal of those in power: a global system with absolute tracking and control.
Nothing is going to stop them from pursing this system, and they have been planning and implementing it for decades. We are just at the end exponential acceleration (which is why it seems fast and all of a sudden). They are not going to stop.
(I feel like a broken record but the only way to beat it is to not play their game, not be dependent on their system, build local networks of like-minded people that are as independent of the system as they can be, build regional coalitions of these networks for trade, passage, survival, etc. You can't beat them at their own game where they can change the rules at will, you need to play a different game. And don't get complacent when it seems like they have let up or given up, because they haven't.)

I think Mormons are chosen because they are blindly obedient to authority. They don't question the motives of their leaders.
