I've long since switched to Linux. I don't care if I can't play every new video game, at least I have a normal operating system that isn't designed to spy on me.
The way Steam/Proton is going; you are only going to have to wait a bit before that is no longer the case. I too will wipe my remaining Windows machines for Linux once that happens.
I wish you were correct. But if you view who produces the network drivers. And who writes all those binary blobs running as firmware anyhow?
It is better, I can agree with that.
If someone writes bad firmware that isn't the OS's fault. But you're right there are still ways to spy, I'm just saying it isn't in the OS itself. All that is open source.
