I've run into the same people from other parts of the country I live in (USA) multiple times. Totally random people in totally different circles. Sometimes I think we are just in a simulation and the same NPC's are used for whatever reason.

The reason people have so many kids is because half of them would die, thats how it was in my family a hundred years ago. But because of the advances in things like antibiotics, health equipment, physicians trained on the body and how to use it. People dont die as much as before. I will concede that. Because of that, most familys only have 2.5 children now. Since the risks of losing your kids from something like a fucking wolf/tiger attack, nile fever, or a cut to the foot is pretty rare in developed areas. But I would consider a place like china and india developed.

Along the same lines, when I hear that cities are overpopulated and we are running out of room, I think about the expansive amount of undeveloped land there is, and how the gov't forces us to all cram together.
They don't force you to do shit lol. My city grows and eats up towns because that expansive are is being developed as fast as possible to maximize profits before the housing bubble pops. It's literally what's caused us to flood so easily despite not even getting any more rain than usual.
