You are underestimating how destructively this can be utilized.
I did too. Transhumanism and AI was in many headlines a year or more ago and I casually dismissed it myself. I'm taking it more seriously now
Think about how dangerously a quantum computer can be in the hands of bad people. A computer that can brute force decrypt any kind of encryption. Suddenly all emails are hacked, everything online hacked, all bank accounts hacked. AI can imitate your voice, decrypt your passwords, imitate your face and mannerisms, your handwriting, your diction, imitate your patterns of behavior. Your fingerprint, social security number birthday everything is stored in a networked computer somewhere and a quantum computer can find it all in short time
quantum computing and weather modification are already in the hands of the most evil people on the planet...

AI is a smokescreen for a non-human "benevolent ruler" who has no bias.
In reality AI decisions will still be made by the same self serving corrupt elite, now just masqueraded as AI decisions .
There is no AI goal setting , sentience , awareness , agency or fairness - just ML weighted generative algos that can be distorted any which way the designers and trainers want.
Its just that with "Its done by AI" smokescreen the biases , actual rulers are now de-personified .
There is no longer a human, a group of evil rulers or cabal to blame and to attack, because it is all supposedly "AI".
