They are small and usually have low RPM output shaft that could be used to drive a gearbox instead of ICE engine, so some enthusiasts install used APUs into their cars in place of ICE engines and get the cars with outstanding sound, fuel consumption and fueled by jet kerosene. But that's very cool.
