Is there better news coverage? People upload their own pics? There's people within 5 miles saying the air is clean and the birds are singing.

You're correct to be skeptical, but this ain't one of those times to be, there is mounds and mounds of evidence that yea, it's bad, and yea, they are pretending it's not.
You have to be fast to catch people's personal videos. The people that are trying aren't aware they need to use rumble or some other form. I made a similar comment just moments ago, but I got more information reading off topic comments in drama subreddits yesterday. Because people talking about their personal experience weren't getting removed.
