You could say the same thing about wind. Yet using wind or electricity to cause something substantial to lift is no small order.
You could say the same thing about lifting, writ-large. The power of gravity is nothing compared to lifting (because we can lift things). I don’t think your statement is all that meaningful or fundamentally accurate.
It’s a rephrasing of the common “gravitation is weak/diffuse” conceit used to pretend that is the reason gravitation (unlike electricity or magnetism - for instance) is fundamentally useless. In my view, it is useless because it is non-real/fictional and unscientific.
We can believe such things, and there may be merits in such beliefs however we don’t see “formation” of spiral galaxies, and fundamentally have no idea what we are looking at. We have lots of mythology (i.e. guesses) for what they are and how they are made, but no science.
It is true that none of our models (computer simulations) work to describe such galaxy formation assuming all our mythological/pseudoscientific/religious beliefs regarding them are correct (aka cosmology/astronomy/astrophysics). Adding in speculations of equally unverified and unverifiable “electrical energy” is akin to “dark matter”/“dark energy” and other contrived fiction designed to bail out plainly failed models and continue to cling to mythology over science.
It only appears that way at first glance, without any earnest research or discussion. There are also heavily advertised (i.e. funded) psyop campaigns to ensure/encourage you to never seriously evaluate it. Why do you think such large amounts of money are spent to convince people that something that is already ostensibly silly/stupid by default is “far too silly to ever actually evaluate”? Methinks the woman doth protest too much!
If the earth were flat, and not a planet, how could you ever obtain such footage (without fabricating/faking it)? I agree that flat earth belief is a scourge, as is globe earth belief. If you believe that the world is round, flat, or any other shape - you have faith not fact. Belief is the enemy of knowledge and to objective study of any kind (it’s also known as bias).
You are “safe” to ignore most everything completely, depending on your definition of safe. But ignoring (or rather attempting to ignore) reality, comes with steep penalties as well as missed opportunities. It was “safe” for our ancestors to believe zeus was responsible for all the lighting and storms - but it was still wrong and limited their ability to know the real world.
I research it because it is extremely rewarding, and because i value the pursuit of truth more than i care about ridicule. Many, perhaps most, radically new ideas are maligned/detested/attacked.
My question for you is, “If the world were truly flat, would you want to know it?”. Assuming it were true, even hypothetically; wouldn’t researching the subject “pertain to forward momentum of knowledge in general”?

If the earth is flat, this is certainly an “important thing” to discuss and research. Honestly even if it isn’t flat, the subject would still be extremely valuable to study - for reasons you will never know if you can’t be bothered to even have a discussion about it (let alone conduct actual research on it).

My question for you is, “If the world were truly flat, would you want to know it?”.
Sadly you are acting like the answer is no, and you would prefer to ignore than to know :(
I would prefer to know what the status is on the recognition of criminal activity by organizations on a massive scale.
Who is to blame? Why is everyone so oblivious to real problems in the domain of life?

There are answers to your questions, but knowing them does not invalidate the worth/value of other knowledge!
I could say the same thing about “electric universe”/“plasma astronomy” too. Would i be right?
Is knowledge not valuable for its own sake? Is the pursuit of truth suddenly not valuable simply because criminals own and run the world?
Are you really saying that, even if the world is flat, it is better to believe a lie of a globe because fact/reality is “irrelevant and not worth your time”?
