2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee
And the Roman emperor pissed at the Jews who destroyed the temple didn't care about some, what was to him, some obscure cult.
You should look up what happened when Julian the Apostate tried to rebuild the Temple as a way to negate a central aspect of the faith. Jews all across the empire poured money into the project, and the Romans, well they know how to build stuff that lasts thousands of years.
The result? Shit out of the Old Testament, like an earthquake, a storm, and a plague....the result, was that it never got anywhere.
You don't know that except from some "expert". Other "experts" dispute it. What makes more sense?
The parallels of the Wars of the Jews by Josephus and the gospels are unbelievable. Besides that, Josephus is basically the only corroborating source for the existence of "Jesus" even though he points to at least two Jesus figures.
Yeah, I'm not really interested in myths written about Julian the Apostate. Sounds like he profited handsomely though. Seismic and storm activity does not equal god, or was that story of Elijah a misdirection?
The most likely thing is a repetition of an old story with some adaptation over the year as hearts and minds change.
And of course you're going to have modern experts in dispute about something like the dating of the certain Bible writings in dispute, when the accepted date for a couple millennia would make for some uncomfortable conclusions to some of those experts.
I made another thread about Julian the Apostate. Put your silly snark about that over there.
Nothing, I guess. I just never really dug into why Jews stopped burnt offerings until WW2 and then stopped again.
It was the Romans, not Jesus, but at the same time, it was the story of Jesus in a way. Jews are for Jesus and they don't even know. Christians are for Jehovah and, well I guess some of them know.
But isn't it all a one world religion in a way? I think the "godless liberalism" does a lot to unite the "righteous".
White people? Oh man, that one always gets me and really proves the same idea of the one world religion. Before the US was settled, "white people" wasn't really a thing. You had Caucasians who identified themselves by where they were from (i.e. Danish, French, British), but now it's simply a color. Why do you think that is? You now have as much link to your heritage as a "black" person.
Not 50 years ago you could choose "Anglo Saxon" as your race. That's long gone too.
So "white people" decided that they needed to lay aside their origins and just go for, well, muh skin tone, just like black people do.
Same thing with "god fearing" and "atheist". You sense this is coming and you recoil at the thought of being paired with a Muslim or a Jew, but the truth is, you already accepted that your ancestors were "white" and to be proud of being "white" because, hey, gotta band together against "those darkies"...
According to Anti-Christ Jew Ben Shapiro, Jesus was just a common criminal and rabble rouser who received the punishment he deserved for assaulting jew merchants in a temple marketplace. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSZkI-Xgupc
Yeah, let's listen to the controlled opposition talk about the controlled opposition narrative. That makes sense. The enemy of your enemy is rarely your friend.
He was a Jew, what were you expecting? Blonde and blue eyes?
The Shroud of Turin at the very least.
That's a medieval forgery
Sure it is.
Is or isn't, doesn't matter. It's what people expect Jesus to look like, in the Middle Ages or now.
In Europe
Not really.
i thought the acting and narration was pretty good. backgrounds and extras were good. Seemed to mostly stick to scripture without much embellishment.
the part with the fig tree, Peter's three denials, trekking through Galilee were well directed.
So Jesus's dad is the God of the Jews...
Does that make you feel special?
Revelation 2:9 and 3:9
2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee
Your bible is really small.
So why did Jesus cast money changers out of the house of Satan?
The pre-Christian Romans did a much better job by turning the temple into rubble. They saved a lot of sheep from becoming burnt offerings.
The Romans destroying the Temple was prophesied by Christ. Book of Mathew was most likely written about 41-60 AD, the Romans did the deed in 70.
Oh hey, this thing predicts that we'll destroy the temple. It must be what we're supposed to do!
And no, the Book of Matthew is unlikely to have been written that early.
And yes, it was written about that early.
And the Roman emperor pissed at the Jews who destroyed the temple didn't care about some, what was to him, some obscure cult.

You forgot Tacitus mentioning Jesus.

You are completely delusional and know nothing about Christianity
Shut the fuck up. One of the first converts was a Ethiopian eunuch, in Acts of the Apostles.
The only hope blacks have of not fucking the entire world up is accepting Christ and living by Christian values.

What’s your spin on that
