I can reproduce the same effect on a flat surface, a few beer bottles, and a local light bulb. If the earth is flat, and the sun is small, local, and moves over our plane as FE alleges, he didn't prove shit. It's bizarre people think this is a smoking gun.

Eratosthenes never questioned or sought to determine the shape of the world in any way. The calculation he used requires the world to be spherical (and many other unvalidated assumptions), otherwise his result is meaningless.

Ancient people knew the earth was spherical because they were taught it was fact from childhood, just like today. It was never validated/measured, they just believed it was true and disingenuously/erroneously taught it as fact to children.

I also agree with the OP; the shape of the world is not a conspiracy, nor is a conspiracy required to be stupid and wrong as humanity always is historically.

Round-earther: "alone I'm a mere stick; but together we form a mighty faggot"

Flat-earther: ...rolling on the flat floor laughing...

Meanwhile...

  • EARTH, noun - "indefinite mass"

  • INDEF'INITE, adjective [Latin indefinitus; in and definitus, definio, to define; de and finio, to end, finis, end.] - "not limited or defined; not determinate; not precise or certain".

IN (within) DE (of) FINIO (end) implies one to be (living) within and out of that which ends (process of dying), hence still going on aka substance matter (life) within immaterial essence (inception towards death).

tl; dr...the perceiving ones can shape within everything perceivable, other ones tempt one to ignore this for reasoning about suggested shapes. Why? So that the few can shape the many with suggestions.

I always point out that this guy came up with his solution 500miles away from the location where the sun shown down a well. How did he know it was noon there without some form of communication, and no universal time?

This isnt how you prove the earth is round. You want to see math here is some for you. 1x2x3x4x5x6x11 or 8x9x10x11= 7920 which is the diameter of the earth. 1x2x3x4x5x6x3 or 8x9x10x3 = 2160 diameter of moon. Its sacred numbers. These math tards saw a ratio of 3:11 and used it to explain 2D shapes and the squaring of the circle then convinced non math tards to believe it can be applied to a so called sphere they live on. Here is a picture incase you dont understand. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=squaring+the+circle&t=iphone&iar=images&iax=images&ia=images&iai=http%3A%2F%2F1.bp.blogspot.com%2F-6O8JypmB1Yk%2FVf2EnOqpILI%2FAAAAAAAATWo%2FJCxQYHXn0HQ%2Fs1600%2F150919%252BSquaring%252BThe%252BCircle.jpg

Miles. A serach engine isnt going to change the fact that the math equals the diameter of the moon and the earth. Squaring the circle doesnt change based on what search engine you use. You know im right which is why your bringing up these two tardy statements.

Round or spherical? Round can describe a sphere or flat circle...

Flat earthers and globulists are both missing the point.
