The guy said Nuremberg trials were great.
Turned it off immediately
Regardless of actual history, it both created many human rights laws, and is a word people have come to associate with such. Thus is being used as a covid-19 talking point to garner attention to human rights violations.
Perhaps I read into it too much.
I still think that if this community, being the good researchers and skeptics that we are, dug deeper into what actually took place at nuremburg trials, we would find it was not actually well intentioned or even fair in achieving justice and that once again, history was deceptively written by the winners.
But I do not consider myself an expert on the history of the Nuremberg trials. I just think to say they were great in a dismissive statement is taking a subject too lightly or too easily passing judgement on something and quickly moving on.
The concept of basic human rights, often called natural law, long pre-existed Nuremberg trials.
