I pulled all of my money out of the bank back in January, as well as my 401k. I finally realized that I was still supporting the wrong team by keeping my money in a bank.
It's really going to suck when they force us over to CBDC and all my cash is worthless.
Don't hold onto purely fiat, diversify in some physical gold and crypto (maybe 15% gold and 5% Monero, now that crypto is way down from its highs). I think most crypto is a huge scam, developed by the elite to get everybody used to digital currency, but it doesn't change the fact that privacy tokens like Manero can provide you a digital out after you get rated or robbed.
At this point, I'm just interested in fortifying my chances of basic survival. I don't think there will be enough civilization left in most of the world to make gold more than a burden. Crypto will disappear with the technology.
Food storage, LOTS of seeds, solar energy, books, and a bunker are my only concern right now. I hope I'm wrong, but it seems like the writing is on the wall at this point.
I hear you; just remember that these aren't mutually exclusive. If you have the means, prepare for all phases of collapse, not just the apocalyptic version. Aside from nuclear holocaust (if nukes are even real), a solar flare situation, or an actual deadly pandemic, an apocalyptic collapse scenario is the least likely. The in between phases, however, happen all the time throughout history.
Also, btw, stock up on practical first aid as well, vs only wartime / apocalyptic first aid. Right now I'm up in the middle of the night with a cold. I'll be back asleep once the Sudafed (the methy version) kicks in. I would be in trouble in SHTF, if I wasn't able to sleep because of a basic cold.
I just argued with some bitch in Bank of America trying to charge me a fee for cashing a Bank of America check. $8 PER CHECK.
I made a big scene, told some guy opening an account to not do it because they charge people fees to cash his checks and that he should go to the credit union down the street.
They ended up cashing all the checks for free just to get me the fuck out of there. LOL
Good for you, I've done that twice in Bank of America, and I like to think that a cost of them at least one customer between both incidents (I haven't done business with them in five years, but used to for a decade). The first time was because they made a big fuss about me withdrawing $8,000. The second was because they try to stick me with $900 of fraudulent charges on my debit card that were from out of state, even though they were blatantly fraud.

Good for you ... besides, you never know!
And this way you can buy some gold and silver and medical supplies.

Buy physical gold (and a little bit of crypto, like Monero). That's the only way you can guarantee nobody can get the lucky charms without a fight.
lol oh well
