The fallacy is your belief that the government is legitimately doing anything to actually reduce global temperatures. For one thing, they would have to REDUCE GDP, not expand it. And since their own government spending increases consumption and energy usage, they would have to cut back on the size of government and government spending. Do they do that? Of course not. And in order to increase tax revenue, they must promote more economic activity and commerce and profits to tax. This increases energy usage since economic activity requires energy usage. Politicians frequently fly in private jets and burn thousands of gallons of jet fuel. Politicians utilize large amounts of electricity. The government buildings are very inefficient and utilize millions of dollars worth of electricity and energy maintaining and operating these huge government buildings housing thousands and thousands of lazy, inefficient, overpaid bureaucrats. Does that sound like GREEN policy to you?
