When you remove this error and calculate the ages in the original manner, you get a 26,000 year cycle identical to the “Great Year” / “Precession Cycle”

Well, the cycles are built atop generations and a generation takes about 20 years. It is geared to the human reproductive cycle for creating adults. Not exactly the physical cycle but the way a generation forms agreed upon and accepted cultural values and beliefs.
However, and this is important, today we have accelerated cycles because the mass communications and the Internet have sped up sharing. Thus I would expect the 'turnings' happen faster now than they did in the days of farms and pastoral lands with no radio, newspapers, or phones.
Another factor in this is that society is actively shaped by the elites through their control of mass media. It only takes one look at CNN to understand that they tell us what to believe (and through advertising, what to buy). This control directly tells us what to believe. RussiaGate proved that.
What changes in each cycle is driven at base by the economics. If in a cycle you are starving, you will want change.
