Im wondering if were not at the end of not only one 80 year cycle, but also a macro cycle of 12,000 years?
When you get a chance, I highly recommend that audiobook posted to c/NonDuality , it makes a very convincing case that we are basically at the very start of the “upswing”, after we’ve been (for the last 12,000 years) on the “downswing”.
>it is darkest just before the dawn
The Vedic data fits very well with the ideas presented by Graham Hancock, Randall Carlson, et al :
That’s exactly why I linked the audiobook actually! Swami Sri Yuketswar goes over all the evidence and makes an extremely convincing case that around 800ad (going from memory) an error in procedure crept into the method for calculating the length of the yugas. When you remove this error and calculate the ages in the original manner, you get a 26,000 year cycle identical to the “Great Year” / “Precession Cycle”
It’s only about an hour and a half long, highly recommend it.

I will check out your communities later. Did not know about them. Thanks!
Yes, the yugas, which are discussed in the vedic texts
