IMO, it's far more likely that we're just simulations that think our experience is 'real'. NPCs in video games don't actually think, but if they did... They'd be programmed to accept their inputs as real.
Finally took the binoculars, but turns out the earth is not an infinite flat plane or a ball. It's just a small disk with a fog wall beyond a mile or two.

How to hit an asteroid? Assuming it's real, hitting a rock zooming through space is probably not as easy as it looks.
