I remember when reddit had intelligent people who posted good information and had intelligent discussion about interesting things. Look at the earliest conspiracy roundtables and look at that dune or even this one... it's sad.
Sorry that's buried deep in my search history months ago, I didn't save it. But I heard it different times about diff subs, one guy said he was a former mod at one of the subs it happened to and that they were given the choice of taking those mods or facing banning from reddit. He gave some various info about it and said to check the mod history and I'd see that almost all current mods were added at the same time. I did check at that time and only a few older mods remained and most mods were all added at the same time. I see that every single mod in r/conspiracy seems to have been added 4 years ago, there are none earlier or later, not sure if that is something similar or what. Also I started having my posts removed quietly for no apparent reason or notification, for instance this one: https://www.reveddit.com/v/conspiracy/comments/pgvfr1/did_cofounder_of_reddit_aaron_swartz_really/?add_user=loonygecko...new.all.t3_pgsvc3..
What happened there is the /r/conspiracy mods voted to remove the inactive head mod at the time, illuminatedwax, and the admins FUCKED up royally and "accidentally" removed the ENTIRE mod team instead. They "apologized" and said it was a bug, but they clearly were fucking with me. Immediately after this, I was accused of orchestrating a "coup" and the attacks on me exploded exponentially. Even though it was actually quite impossible for me to remove the former head mod who was ABOVE me on the list (only admins could do that which is why we appealed to them). Regardless, all of our mod counters got reset to 0 when that happened, myself included. The admins never really explained themselves. It's one of many, many sketchy things that happened to me during my time at reddit.
Reddit is gone. The same thing that happend to twitter happened to reddit. The amount of content that gets removed either manually or automatically is unbelievable.
yea it was strange - the "vibe" was well... we can't allow freedom of speech when it comes to discussing children.
which... is a valid concern - i fully acknowledge.
however:
the children were trafficking victims, in my opinion - so - the tragedy has been to ignore the truth.
when it comes to free speech - i agree with Elon Mush, when he proudly proclaims himself to be a "free speech absolutist". where i am normally trying to find a compromise, i don't believe there is a middle ground on free speech, unfortunately - for better and worse.
they buried all things pizzagate the same way...
same for 9/11 (originally, over on digg - then /r/politics)
you can always identify their crown jewels by how aggressively they fight to hide them.
edit/ps.
re: free speech absolutist
i have a problem with spam that comes from absolute free speach.
anyone remember what happened to /r/worldpolitics ?? that was INTERESTING to watch:
the mod that ran /r/worldpolitics was free speech absolutist
s/he allowed anything and everything.
it became a pretty solid alt. to /r/conspiracy for a while.
but...
someone in the deep state got triggered.
so what did they do ?
massive bot army swarmed-in and buried the sub with anime and porn.
it was wild.
like ...within about 30 days /r/worldpolitics was total trash - nothing to do with politics at all.
i suspected the Jewish Internet Defense Force was behind the bot army.
anyway, yea... free speech absolutist
but recognize the inevitable results:
• propaganda / spam
• woke identity culture ("Wait wait! did the half African, half Amish quadriplegic transgender lesbian get to speak yet? FREE SPEECH!!!!!")
• bot-driven anime/porn/nonsense to "comment slide" the more insightful content into oblivion.
NARRATIVE, adjective - "giving a particular or continued account"
What if the continuing (process of dying) gives the particular (living) the opportunity to count? How does one get the partial (perceiving) to ignore the whole (perceivable)...by suggesting a different narrative.

Try searching for sandy hook on youtube, they've scrubbed everything.
yup - i was banned (for about the 4th time) for suggesting the kids came from comet pizza.
i'm glad i scrolled down to the bot notification on the tmor post. those people are nuts.
good job for triggering them, OP.
I'm still triggering them lol and I haven't even posted on reddit for almost 2 years. They're still talking about me constantly, it's creepy.
If I remember right r/conspiracy on reddit was forced to accept reddit appointed mods not long ago, so that sub is totally compromised now.
source?

First I'm hearing of it.

a) resisting the temptation to read; agree or disagree with; be offended by and suggest judgments upon, implies free will of choice...yours.
b) ask yourself this...who represents responsibility for being COM (together; with) MENT (mind; memory)...oneself or others?
c) how about utilizing whatever you read as inspiration (need) instead of reasoning (want vs not want) over the meaning of it?
d) can the living unsubscribe from the process of dying?
