nope. that's unrealistic, in my opinion.

for most people, their best option is to vote for the one that serves their interests the most.

("the most" being highly subjective and broadly relative - obviously.)

...then there is the chess-game of "most electable" - i.e., the person you like the best has a very low chance of getting elected.

.... and then there is the JFK / deep-state factor - i.e., even if your dark horse does get elected by some miracle, s/he will either "play ball" (i.e., do what s/he is told) or removed / eliminated.

so... given that I will care, pay attention and vote, because i do believe it DOES make a difference (a very small difference, but a measurable difference) ... and given that i am not going to do anything but sit on my ass and "boost" (among friends, family, social network, etc.) one candidate or another - which one?
