Those "nerds" use their newspeak to describe things just because they learned them by rote and they just don't really understand what they are doing. They know how thing named, but have no any idea what does it mean.
If you pay some attention to the bullshit jobs descriptions from that meme, you will easily notice that they describe what they use to do the job, not what for. It's like a fisherman would have been painted with bubble with "I'm a thrower of hook ended line with a bite on a hook"
I often see people who describe themselves like, f.e. "C++ programmer" or "Oracle database architect". Poor bastards. Nobody tell them that if you are a real programmer (database architect), you could write on any language (use any database) that is best suitable for the task. Those who have "C++ programmer" as "profession" are just dumb monkeys who learned by rote some basic techinques and code phrases for single specific language and just combine them in attempts to get some result. They don't think, they don't invent solutions, they create nothing, they can't program, they just apply learned schemes in response to known situations.
IDK how to name that bullshit job "professions", but they are the same - say words / press buttons / move mouse in learned by rote way in response to number of learned by rote situations.
There are also a lot of same bullshit monkey professions in other areas of human activity. Most notable - doctors, brokers, lawyers and so on.
Really smart people, who are real professionals, perfectly able to describe anything in the way it will be perfectly understandable to the person they talk to.
I thought you were just being ironic with this post. Of course automation and blockchain dev are real jobs. Software does a lot to increase the productivity of businesses and even individuals.
OP, you've triggered the nerds with this one. Might as well be arguing with a bunch of Vaxxtards.
Tech is their religion instead of media.
