The most startling of these I've ever heard is that the speed of light is encoded in the latitude at which the pyramid is located. It's within tens of meters, so close that I've wondered whether Google deliberately shifted the location slightly so it's not dead on.
Hey, do you remember when the man who made this video, Alan Green, did an ama on r/conspiracy? Was it you who set that up? I always thought that was awesome, how you got (I think) Whitney Webb, the “dark journalist” guy, and this guy Green to actually participate in discussions a bit.
yeah I organized the vast majority of AMAs from the beginning, including that one. I even brought Dr. Meryl Nass before I was booted off reddit and before her medical license was suspended. I think the AMAs were part of the reason I was given the boot.
I don't check /r/conspiracy too often these days, but I'm surprised I've never seen any threads calling for more AMAs and round tables, they really represented a golden era of the sub.

That's because everyone worth a damn who participates in that sub in those days either got banned or gave up on it.
We all know it is flooded with bots, but also idiots who treat reddit like twitter (as reddit has worked hard to promote) and think a sentence or two, or a link to some random moron on YouTube talking rather than just writing or linking an article is a quality post.
Digging deeper, a large part of posts are data-mining, either by government or government-linked "academics" monitoring, tracking and trying to remove any actually damaging information ( "What are some good sites to deep dive on conspiracies?" type posts) and, in my opinion, lots of lazy youtube wannabes asking for others to do the work for them and then posting a stupid video about it month later.
Also, I know for a fact that r/conspiracy is "sharded" and different users are put into some number of different mirrors and will only see posts from certain people but never others.
Thanks for that at the very least. They have been fun reads over the years. Also, I agree, I think here is a great new place for those shenanigans if there's time and interest.

They really did, which is probably why they’ve been memory-holed so hard. Even years ago though I was getting fed up with how manipulated the various front pages were (r/con to a lesser extent than other subs, but still present for sure). The TuMORs campaign of subversion was long and meticulous. I can’t even browse there anymore, it’s just not a valuable use of time lol.
Cheers, and I hope you consider attempting to (continue to) resurrect that golden age here
