The esoteric explanation is astrotheology. The Bible is riddled with it. The summer and winter solstice dates coincide with the zenith of the sun in the summer/winter which is the tropics of Cancer/Capricorn. The sun “dies” during the winter solstice and remains for 3 days at the Tropic of Capricorn latitude until on the 25th of December it will start to rise making its way to the zenith in the northern hemisphere, Tropic of Cancer, on June 21st(Summer solstice) These latitudes effectively divide the Earth a quarter above and 3 quarters below(Cancer latitude) and 3 quarters above 1 quarter below(Capricorn latitude).
Sun/Sol worship was very popular in ancient times. Megalithic sites like Stonehenge(astronomical clock) and New Grange are a few examples.
If you're interested in checking it out further, I'll pose one rhetorical question and give one cryptic clue in the form of a question.
If someone just made up the character of Lucifer somewhere along the line as the "personification of evil" or some such thing, why would he bother saying who his father was?
Yahweh's city is Jerusalem, control of which was fought over from ancient times to this very day. If it's Yahweh's city, is it named after him?
Not trying to be a jerk or a tease with these question, but I can 100% guarantee that the information will mean absolutely nothing to you unless you find it yourself.
Well, we should be careful to keep in mind that they are what they are, which is almost certainly not simply what each of us has in mind when we think of the world "angel". See what I mean?
Lay off the drugs and read the bible. Then you would actually know that "Lucifer" isn't another name for the devil but is part of a prophecy about a Babylonian king.
The fucking Christians who came up with the idea that Lucifer is a name for the devil were ignorant cretins.
Wanna remark on my comment maybe instead of pushing the Bible? I don't know it by heart, but I assure you I spent plenty of time dealing with Christian Meanderings.
Also, maybe you should read Cats Cradle, one of the most spiritual books ever written BY A MAN. Just like the Bible.
I'm all for some Vonnegut but just to clarify, God wrote the bible with humans to scribe His words, not the same thing as good ol' Kurt. So it goes. Edit: and it is Isaiah, good call.
Lol God is totally the mastermind behind the bible, the actual words that were then translated and sometimes skewed. Turns out God is omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient. And yeah He really did inspire(in the correct definition) the humans that physically wrote the bible. Why do you think God is so weak and powerless? There is no way any of it would line up in any coherent way after all those years if God wasn't driving that car man.
No. Men wrote the Bible and a freemason was kind enough to give us his translation. I don't believe in that God through man bullshit. Messiahs and so on. God, maybe, but humans speaking for God? Not a mother fucking chance. In fact, where I come from, if you're speaking to God, you're fucking nuts. "God told me..." is never followed by anything even remotely sane or credible. This includes the Bible.
I don't trust the translations I trust the Guy protecting His work. God speaks, the only one in fact to do so, that's the only reason you know anything about Him. Ask yourself why, maybe?
YHWH, the Lord God of Genesis 2, is not a creator. The creators are the Elohim of Genesis 1. We are created in the image and the likeness of the Elohim, so we are also creators who are above YHWH and his minions.
No, we were created by the triune God (in His image) which consists of the Father God, Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit, which is referenced in Genesis 1. Now the Hebrew for Elohim does get confusing but not impossible to understand: https://www.blueletterbible.org/faq/don_stewart/don_stewart_1303.cfm
One creator in 3 forms. There is a heavenly host of beings but they aren't God in the strict sense of the word. They are created beings like we are created beings.
Puttin' a whole Lotta words in my mouth aren'cha? God has only three forms as I stated and yeah He spoke so you could hopefully listen and have a better life, now and also later. Hope to see you there friend.
The original translation for old testament "God" was plural ie "Gods" and the one referred to singularly in the new testament was (and perhaps still is) the king of the hill so to speak, but 1/3 of them with a leader challenged for that position and lost.

Lucifer does indeed have parents, although only his father is named. This is stated explicitly in the Bible in the original Hebrew: "helel ben shahar"
It is from the word "helel" that we ultimately derive the name "Lucifer". "Ben" in Hebrew means "son of". Thus, Lucifer is the son of Shahar.
Now you just have to figure out who Shahar is. Don't feel bad if you've lost interest at this point because everybody else in the world has also.

I'm glad YOU can make heads or tails of the Bible, a book written by men. Maybe look for answers in Kurt Vonnegut's "Cat's Cradle?"
Nice nice very nice
So many different people in the same device....
Way more answers in Bokononism, guaranteed.
Have you actually read Isaia 14? I have the feeling that you haven't.

Have you read God's new spy-thriller? Breathtaking!

Lamest cop out, can't even call that a retort. Good luck dude.

Kind of puts The Truman Show in a new perspective, especially your first link.
Lucifer was it the Angel class. He was the 3rd to rebel. He rebelled because his ego got the best of him. Here’s the whole story.

The Jesus story was much more detailed and clarified many stuff.
