The unusual thing about it is how the left isn't eager to rub it in the right's faces, ie "you had a trans first lady, deal with it bigots" type of attitude, they show absolutely zero desire to use this one as a shining example of "progress" and "representation" the way they typically do with trans people in the government, military and so on. What is it about this one that is so fiercely hush-hush.
Perhaps on a deeper level they are rubbing it in people's faces moreso indirectly than directly. "Becoming" Michelle Obama.
I would imagine that they get some degree of perverse satisfaction in keeping it an open secret.
And maybe there is also the element of occultism at play here...just as lies tend to snowball, secrets like these help to protect other secrets which are far more unsavory. Like why Big Mike was sipping champagne as Notre Dame burned.
I don't think Michelle Obama is trans, but did you see any trans people on CNN's Juneteeth celebration? (Legit question, I didn't see the whole thing.) They selectively highlight that stuff to different audiences.
