It seemed like a situation where it may have been difficult to get the bodies out to bury them and you might face disease risk.
It could have been a practical measure to mitigate disease risk from people who had died or succumbed to wounds after battle.
The passports could have been planted, who knows. But It’s not crazy that you would have foreign fighters making their way their to fight Russia. There was a lot of propaganda and a call to arms for people to join the Ukrainian side.
And I wouldn’t be surprised if they sent these naive foreigners to the most dangerous areas. It’s also possible that the us had people undercover to assist those trapped in the mill.
If some of those fighters died at the steel plant and they needed to get rid of bodies… but were unable to leave the plant…it makes sense they would build a crematorium and maybe just leave passports behind so someone would know what what happened to them.
Or maybe to motivate other people and even countries to enter into the conflict and join their side.
