My wife tested positive for the rona. I'm pretty sick myself. She went to the doctor and was prescribed PAXLOVID, I noticed it states "for use under Emergency Use Authorization". I refuse to be tested and day 3 it just feels like the flu to me, and not the worst I've felt. Ant comments will be well received, my wife will wait 2 hours before taking a dose to see what can be learned

Made by the company thats genociding America. The fuck you thinking
"Hey, I'm sure they're not all that bad! Yeah, 4 billion people vaccinated with god-knows-what, sure. But this shit? Naaaah!"
A most excellent link. She may not take it now because she wants to be done with it and the thought of recurrence does not appeal to her. I'm wondering why the doctor prescribed it in the first place. It's supposedly for high risk patients only. Damn, they just don't care about anything but the money they stand to receive
You would still get some antibodies. The amount is somewhat proportionate to the severity of immune response while fighting the infection.
This link looks like the info I need to get her to listen. So far, she's trusted me and not got the jab. I refuse to even be tested because I won't take anything they would prescribe anyway.
Buck up and ride it out, wtf? Why take a new drug for something you’ll be over soon enough?
Don’t. 99.99% of people will be fine without any drugs. If not, a little apple flavored paste will fix you right up.
It is the flu.drink orange juice and be normal
How can it be for EUA when there isn't an emergency and there are alternative treatments? Seems illegal to me, but hey take your Pfizer drugs and be happy.
Talk about weak fucks who would've never gone to the doctor for a flu, but now flee to them to get their drugs.
Antivirals are not for the weak-of-heart STS. They are sickening drugs that interfere with DNA replication, as a means to destroy viruses faster than they destroy you. They are more kin to chemotherapy [1] than to medication [2]. Some do work, but you won't feel good while they work...
[1] guiding principle: relative harm versus disease
[2] guiding principle: minimize harm versus patient
FWIW I know multiple people close to me who took it without issue. My opinion is that this is the case of God intentioned people succeeding in getting an actual treatment intended for other purposes (ie expensive anti virals) approved for Covid. I think it got approved because it's pfizer. Might be worth getting it in case it progresses negatively within a few days time. It's not given to everybody.
Yeah, she ain't doing that bad other than body aches and she's 4 days into it. Peak is usually 5 -8 days. I'm 3 days in and Tylenol is working fine for the body aches. I'll suggest she hold off to see if it's progressing
Do you have an oximeter? Saturating above 95 is good for brain cells. 85 requires immediate attention
Yep exactly. I was at an 85 and was hospitilized for a week with "covid pneumonia" few months back. Was treated with antibiotics, vitamins, supplemental oxygen and rest...
UPDATE: she's not taking it unless things get worse in the next few days. It appears to have leveled off, so she probably won't end up taking it. Her family in California is all in on the jab and they have a lingering influence over her. She thinks I'm a conspiracy nut, but the stuff I buy into ends up accurate. She has learned to trust me over the past 30 years and much more so in the past few years. She is definitely scared because of what she now believes is still to come. Getting her to stop being afraid and start making counter plans is my next hurdle.
BTW, thank you everyone.
I do that stuff regardless. I'm still working on breaking her mentality of medicine having a quick fix for everything. She is slowly becoming more receptive of a preventative lifestyle using healthy choices.
Yes I do, and that is one of the reasons I take Tylenol or ibuprofen on rare occasions only.
The national geographic documentary called “Stress: Portrait of a Killer” helped me Overcome my fears. Check it out.

Nooooo don’t take the PAVLOVID, no matter if you are sick to the point of hearing bells and salivating…
I just posted an update. Crisis averted for now
PAXLOVID is an anagram, you work it out

Bebtelovimab - this is a monoclonal antibody that still works pretty well against the current Covid.
It's cloned antibodies. If you or your wife get really sick, seek this stuff for an actual cure.
We're both on the down hill side of it now. I'm 60, but in excellent health. Her, not so much. She's getting better and never had trouble breathing. I appreciate the info, it may save a life one day because I will have this to reference.
If you can breathe and keep food down you don't need pills. 3 days is probably when you'll start recovering on your own. Let your body do its job. Best of luck.
