Breastfeeding is a serious commitment that should be more valued in terms of long term investing than a retirement fund for the future health of their children. Formula is a convenience food. Food/health cost deficit.
Bottle fed babies have a strange look to them. Their poop and spit up stinks. They have huge heads and look obese even as babies. The ingredients are subpar. Parents use bottles to shut their kids up. I don’t care what people say. It’s a demonstrable observation. We never fed our kids this crap.
I worked in a health for store many years ago. What happens with healthy products is they expire faster, and they're expensive.
When you can't source them from the regular places you can order direct from the brand. That's when customs fucks it up. In this example we are talking about powdered milk. That requires temperature control, and is time sensitive to be received. ( cold packs have a time frame.)
If your time sensitive food was just in a 100°+ warehouse while the cold packs melted, you may have an issue. The worst part was while I was at the k food store, the customers said it was being done to specific return labels. Freight forwarding eliminated the issue.
I wouldn’t give my kids that shit. My kids grew up on unvaxxed breast milk, as did I and my parents before me.

Babies don't need formula, they need their mother.
There shouldn't be a shortage, because formula use should be rare and only really for special medical conditions.
Lactose intolerance in babies is rare.
Most babies can handle lactose.
