It could be used for anything, from decentralized DNS alternative or storing results of chess parties to creating state surveillance currency and maintaining lists of mindcriminals. The question is not in the blockchain, the question is who use that technology and for what purpose.
There are a lot of uses of internet, including ones you could hate a lot. That does not make internet unuseable for your own purpose and does not strip your ability to not participate in things you don't like.
Blockchain is just an alternative to distributed SQL databases, which is clearly better for transaction based applications. It's not a freedom fighter with it's own mind, it's a powerful tool, like upgrading from a simple revolver to an advanced assault rifle.
You have to reclaim your freedom using any tool possible. But never ever go around and tell people they should give up their assault rifles and replace it with a simple knife, just because the enemy started using assault rifles.
