Blockchain is just a technology. Like internet. It could be used for anything, from decentralized DNS alternative or storing results of chess parties to creating state surveillance currency and maintaining lists of mindcriminals. The question is not in the blockchain, the question is who use that technology and for what purpose.

There are a lot of uses of internet, including ones you could hate a lot. That does not make internet unuseable for your own purpose and does not strip your ability to not participate in things you don't like.
