If you were okay with Russia invading Ukraine on account of their fragile nation being too frightened to allow Ukraine to make friends... Then this should also be acceptable.
My stance holds: no one should breach borders. Anyone who breaches borders forfeits their right to life.

It's a shame people were tricked into thinking they were the freaking Biblical Hebrews because they stole land and named it that, with zero ties to any of the 12 tribes.
