Yeah, that Hellfire Club was really a hoot.

How many times was Franklin chosen as Satan?

How many bodies did Franklin have in his basement again?

He was a Mason. I despise Freemasonry. That said, at the time human bodies used for anatomy lessons for doctors were still illegal and he participated in that. That's not that much of a problem, historically speaking for me, compared to the rest of his sometimes bad actions, such as basically abandoning his wife.

Well, that's the cover story.

So he left his wife, was a Freemason, member of Hellfire Club (and who knows whatever else secret societies), but as a scientist he's moral and inscrutable?

I have severe doubts. Just like I have with Washington and the "I cannot tell a lie" quote. All Masons do is lie, and therein lies the irony of it.

He didn't leave his wife, per se, he remained married with her but left her behind in the U.S. and didn't come home until after she died despite her begging him to do so. We've got the letters. He was getting plenty of French or English poon on the side, etc. He made sure to take care of his children, legitimate and the illegitimate one from before his marriage.

Anyway, I never said as a scientist he's moral and inscrutable, I was agreeing with what is typically given as the cover story for why he was connected with dead bodies. I don't think there were actually in his house. It's been a couple years since I read that biography, and it was only mentioned in passing.

The media and history books made heroes out of Franklin, Washington, et al.

Would you feel the same if it was Bill Clinton?

Yet, he's cut from the same cloth as them.

That's all I'm saying.

Side note: My sister has a piece of a likely Masonic obelisk dedicated to Columbus that was "destroyed" during the statue craze (in Baltimore, and the statue was from 1792 I believe). She actually has a good chunk of the inscription. I don't want to bore you, but a couple of things about it...

A person destroyed the statue with a sledgehammer, and I actually saw the video of them doing it (they recorded it themselves). The video was slickly produced, which was kinda weird for supposedly a rando doing it. Makes me think it was a Mason that did it too.

Anyhow, the real interesting part is that the person who had the obelisk commissioned housed a lot of the French nationals when they visited the states, and I don't think that it is terribly hard to think that Franklin was also a visitor. The obelisk was at one point placed in the backyard of a boarding school for young female orphans, and I really do wonder if they use obelisks to suck energy out of things.

Lastly, the guy who had the obelisk commissioned had his grave exhumed, with no body. I had the notion that obelisks may contain bodies and body parts, and one intriguing thing I found was that Egyptian obelisk used to have ball or even urns on top of them.

Like if Cleopatra's needles actually had her ashes in them, she could be cloned through the DNA eventually. Shoot, some conspiracists have posited Britney Spears was a Cleopatra clone (there was even an MSM article about it I believe...just about how Cleopatra would look like Spears in modern times). Wouldn't something like that explain her "conservatorship" rather well?

Just some thoughts.

Good thoughts. I take a nuanced view of the Founders, they put their pants on like all of us, one leg at a time. But I also realize that they were a smart bunch as well, but sadly did not take the criticism of their constitutional approach as laid out in the writings of the anti-Federalists seriously enough. If they did, we'd not be in such a mess.

I'm fairly sure that DNA that age would be to decomposed to make cloning possible.

Possibly, but I can think of reasons, or resins, why not.

Seriously, resin. Even something like honey, clay, who knows. Ever look up resins though? Dragon's blood and frankincense and myrrh are all pretty interesting.

Like you said about the Founders, I'm inclined to believe people back then were a bit smarter than people think. Pretty sure mummies had resin in the bindings as well btw.

Ah fuck off. I'm a Catholic, and Freemasonry has been condemned over a dozen times by the church. It's evil, and satanic.
