Not sure about touching trees but “grounding” is walking outside and physically touching natural earth, minerals, animals and plants. It helps release the built up electromagnetic energy that our bodies store from shit like cell phones, pavements, indoor environments, etc.
You have to find and recognize your own chi first.
It's a sensation that you have to practice like meditation. It's kine of like a fluid at first, though some people experience a tingling to shocking feeling like electricity or a buzzing ball.
Placebo effect combined with an actual effect. Going barefoot helps regulate your body temperature and relieves pressure from the sides of your soles to the top of your feet. I would get less tired from long days by just taking off my shoes and socks whenever possible.
Going out of city and spending some time with nature breathing clean air with useful fitoncides, listening natural sounds, smelling pleasant odors and touching some nice plants really could make you feel much better and healthier. Not because some magic or unknown energies in trees, but just because you got out from all that city shit you constantly live in.
I don't insist that there could not be some unknown energy or other stuff, they just not necessary to explain effect.
Trees. I remember reading an oddfuck theory about trees giving off vibrations. That can go for a half mile and each species has a different ring to it. They talk to each other.
Dont believe that but living in the middle of them, I find them strangely relaxing.
You should believe that. Every living thing on the planet communicates within its species. They also learn from one another without communicating. Look up morphic fields.
I've found no difference between grass and trees. I actually prefer grass because of the softness and newness.
Anecdotally, my psilocybin-self felt a calling to vomit into a tree at one point, so maybe there's something to it.
