sadly they have proven them selves untrust worthy. for the longest time i was one of those guys who would get mad about people who denied the validity of the moon landing. it interesting to look back and see how things taught to us and consistently reinforced to us as children can create this weird effect where those things of "high interest" can almost become part of your identify, thus making them hard to get over when proved wrong or questioned.
Is/was this necessary for life on Earth. Did it improve anyone's life, other than those who profited off of the money laundering to make it happen? Was poverty abated?
NO.
We need to stop dreaming about the stars and put that money to real use in real circumstances, not through charities or NGOs. Even if there is life out there, do we really want to welcome something that has the tech to show up on our doorstep? Likely we are just going to look like troglodytes or food, either way, I don't see it turning out well for us.
Dreaming of distant lands allowed my ancestors to immigrate to America and build a better life. If we don’t keep dreaming of the stars, we will be stuck her on Earth with each other and the endless politics and wars.
I would like my children and grand children to have opportunity to leave, and seek out better opportunities off planet. Funding the Webb telescope is a small part of that goal. Far better space research than bombs and the welfare trap.
It was a hard pill to swallow but iv put NASA in the same category as CNN now. nothing but a larp

I never find the 4chan threads of value. I only ever find them once someone has posted a screen cap of them after the fact.
the opposite is true of 4chan and any real oldfag knows that lmao
Well, there is another trillion down the drain.

"Proof of Extraterrestrial Life Found"
An ET has unplugged the main board from the power supply on the telescope as no human could have done that.
