I suspect this is only a small aspect of something bigger, do you think a game developer will be as motivated to work as diligently as before? Sure, fear of starvation/homelessness is motivating but it doesn't make for a creative environment. Before 2020 a game developer had a vacation to look forward to and many other aspirations. Under communism people are not really that motivated.

Everyone have been pumped fear non stop for 2 years, it should have an effect, I do not know how the vaccine mandates are going at the companies you mention, but I imagine big companies are pushing for it, they might have lost some of their very best staff, and those who took the jab, some of them might have slightly deteriorated mentally, this is without taking the effect of oxygen depraving masks, this may seem like only a 10% -20% effect, but most productivity come from these extra few IQ points. Would be curios to see if techies or engineers are suffering from similar productivity issues.

All that said, there is an effect of over complication and over inter-dependencies that has been going for a while. In a technological society, as time progress, everything becomes more and more complicated and more and more interconnected, this means things are easier to break, there are many dependencies, lose few people here and there, or few suppliers and the whole things come apart. It becomes harder and harder to make an elegant product.

It becomes harder and harder to make an elegant product.

What if you represent the product shaped by all suggested technology? The lower the quality of what you consent to; the lower of quality are you as the product within a domesticated class. Planned obsolesce; just like historical revisionism, aren't representing harder manufacturing supply; but lower demand, thanks to a product of customer that lacks resistance towards being downgraded in quality.

I neither offer (no threads started); nor judge (no up/down-votes given). Free will of choice exists within balance. Ask yourself if your consent to suggested voting is what puts you into the conflict of reason between perceived right versus wrong?

Wokeness has stifled creativity. They’re also in between game generations and, for instance, a lot of dev is probably going into porting stuff to next gen so they can sunset old platforms

there's a covert push in the background that is related to secret space programs

that's what's going to cause the massive energy crisis in the next 2 years

if you want to know when our lives will end, it will probably be around 2046 according to Diehold Foundation

that's why the elites are so hellbent on mars and space shit

Shutting down production for feelings is what's going to cause your energy crisis. Everytime Democrats happen it's a shitshow of misery failure and incompetence

surface politics is just a show for the plebs and to justify doing whatever the fuck they want to do, mate

if you try to push surface politics to real motivations, you won't understand the world properly

It's a combination of COVID, homeless, crime, and BLM riots. People working for Google are living in campers parked on the street. A "dream" job can't get people a place to stay. Fresh content for games usually comes from fresh programmers, but now everything is being outsourced.

Japan has its own culture. They prioritize national recovery over exports, it's likely that new Nintendo content will be released in Japan before they translate and revamp it for elsewhere. Japan doesn't always make it's decisions on purely financial reasons, the US should focus on being better allies to our friends in Japan.

BURRR... the CCP said hell nahz & BROUGHT DOWN THE FURY OF ZE PIMP HAND.

  1. nation-wide clamp down on max hours, per week, playing games
  2. shake'n up the elite 1% for "charity" donations for the cause of "social wealth."

Gaming is now 'big' business. Indie game developers barely make profits and when they do they usually offered to be purchased by a publisher and then the rest going forward is the publisher.

Games were originally passion projects which got big when technology could handle it so each generation brought new opportunities for game developers to cut their teeth and set new stage

The last few years have been dominated by mobile ideas which are based on engagement time and money subscriptions and payments to justify it. This spread into online competitive places with skins and various badges etc.

Storytelling has no incentive in big companies to make anything but highly consumerist games designs to extract money because the shear size of their enterprise is so large it requires constant feeding and they are inefficient and usually beholden to shareholder decisions which have nothing to do with the games.

Games are getting too expensive to produce so cheaper and cheaper talent is also being used to fill the gaps where possible.
