I read (I believe on the WHO website, but it may have been the CDC, NIH or elsewhere.) that influenza reporting was suspended because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
I can't link to it because I can't remember exactly where it was. Search engines are gaming the search results to ensure that the propaganda in support of the shots is front and center whenever someone uses relevant search terms and that makes what I am searching for impossible to find.
EDIT: I did manage to finally find something about this in Australia.
New South Wales
The weekly flu report has currently been suspended due to the COVID-19 response, however weekly influenza information is available in the COVID-19 weekly surveillance report.
Queensland
2021 Influenza reporting is not available for Queensland.
Western Australia
Week ending 31 October 2021
Please note that the influenza and ILI surveillance systems in WA have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, respiratory viral activity should be interpreted with caution and take into account the effects of changes in health seeking behaviour including accessing alternate health services such as telehealth, focused testing for COVID-19 at COVID-19 clinics or specific acute respiratory infection clinics and the impact of physical distancing measures.
So this would partly explain why all the flu cases are no longer being tracked. We see that the programs responsible for it have been suspended in many places due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
I'll bet a large number of recorded COVID-19 cases in America during the early stages of the pandemic were actually influenza. I think the COVID-19 cases in 2020 were vastly inflated for political reasons, and because of this the death rate could well be higher in reality.

Exactly, still a lot of unknowns
