The concentration of it in toothpaste is astronomically higher than in water, which is why you should not swallow toothpaste. With that being said it should definitely not be in water.
I think it used to say something like if you swallow more than a pea sized amount of tooth paste call poison control. There is about the same amount of fluoride in 1 liter of water.
Afaik the problem with swallowing quantities of toothpaste is more an issue of intestinal blockage
Exactly. That’s how they psyche us out. But not many think about it in terms of micro amounts + lifelong exposure
The google/startpage search results for "fluoride in water vs toothpaste" are almost as heavily curated as searching for information about COVID. That alone should tell you something.
Most water companies add 0.5 to 1.0 mg of fluoride per liter of water.
The fluorides added to water (sodium fluoride and hydrofluorosilicic acid) is NOT the same as fluoride found naturally in water (calcium fluoride). Sodium fluoride is added to toothpaste as well.
Unlike calcium fluoride, sodium fluoride is readily absorbed by your body and is not naturally-occurring. Before it became known as the "miracle" of modern dentistry, sodium fluoride was just industrial toxic waste. To get the sodium fluoride in toothpaste to work, the toothpaste needs to be acidic, so while it does mineralize your teeth, it also erodes your tooth enamel at the same time.
More concerning is hydrofluorosilicic acid, which is also toxic waste, as hydrofluorosilicic acid is often contaminated with arsenic (a known carcinogen), and also leaches lead from plumbing. This shit is added to drinking water.
The smarter thing to do is to ditch fluoride entirely, filter it from your drinking water, brush with non-fluoridated toothpaste, and instead use microcrystaline hydroxyapatite to remineralize your teeth. You want hydroxyapatite sourced from cow bones, not the nanomolecular synthetic shit, because the nano hydroxyapatite is relatively unstudied and could behave like asbestos or talcum powder.
Brush your teeth with essential oils and use hydroxyapatite to mineralize your teeth. We shouldn't be adding toxic fluoride to drinking water. Fluoridated toothpaste for kids with their baby teeth is fucking idiotic, and fluoridated toothpaste for anyone is unnecessary when you can get the same results from hydroxyapatite without any toxicity. If you are some vegan ideologue freak, use the fluoridated toothpaste, but rinse like five times and make sure you get all of that shit out of your mouth.
We're literally 17th century victorians who are using paris green and Scheele's green but in a different way
The idea of putting fluoride in water to drink internally to try and prevent cavities shows how stupid the general population is.
They even put it in baby water to try and save baby teeth, LMAO.
If you give your kid fluoridated toothpaste while they still have their baby teeth, you are an off the scale idiot. The young kids are the ones that swallow toothpaste.
Once people started pointing this out, the narrative changed. Now we need "systemic fluoride" so that our teeth are constantly showered with fluoride from our saliva.
I've tried to get away from fluoride toothpaste. Problem is every time I have done that I have gotten a cavity on my next dentist visit.
That may be a direct cause of your diet and when you eat.
Astronauts swallow toothpaste.
Your mom could be an astronaut, the way she swallows.
REKT.
Love the idea.
It's like when I recently called my mom to thank her for remembering my birthday, she eventually was talking about the news talking about climate change and said "I don't think they are telling us all the truth." Good job mom i've only been telling you about the non-stop lies and slant from them for nearly two decades. Better get back to META to gossip about family.
