There was a great problem among liberals with attempts to promote BLM in Russia. Their huge problem was that there are nearly no blacks, may be few thousands total for all country and they are mostly foreign students who study in Russian universities and diplomats and employees in embassies. So most blacks in Russia are more wealthy than average Russian and police thorougly avoid touching blacks in fear of international scandals. The only problems black could meet in Russia is cold climate, natives curiosity and lack of cosmetics for black in Russian boutiques. All that hardly could be used as a legit cause of riots and it is impossible to find riots participants. So BLM shit completely failed here. Finally they just declare Russian whites very intolerant and hateful, using absence of black here as a proof. :)
So, even if US never had any black slavery or discrimination history, that would have not prevent any unjust accusations of whites.

Really Russians could be very intolerant/nationalistic/racist if guests (especially uninvited) massively and regularly do noticeable harm and/or try to establish some unacceptable/unpleasant traditions or habits. But again, in case of blacks, we just have no any noticeable interactions to decide if that guests are not welcomed here. May be juging race/nation in whole by the behaviour of most of them is not very good thing, but that is how it goes here. Average Russian will be at least suspicious of Jews, people from Caucasus tribes and middle-asians from Tajikistan, Usbekistan, etc. And there is the solid reasons for that.

It prevents us from unifying against the conspirators.
It makes people curious enough to take a look at what we are talking about believe we are like that because of, ironically, the same thinking that goes into generalizing entire ethnic groups like in the OP, thereby marginalizing us.
It dilutes any message we may need to get out about actual conspiracies.
The forum sliding it inevitably causes interferes with our own ability to communicate and learn from each other, as you can see has happened in this very thread.
The next one I came up with recently, and it might be the most important.
It pits this group against people (ethnic minorities) who would, under ordinary circumstances be even more sensitive to authoritarianism, fascism and the institutionalized discrimination we are seeing today. It is tantamount to killing the canary in the coalmine.
