Russians fall into manipulations easily, like any other population. But to manipulate you need at least a tiny hooks. In case of BLM there was absolutely nothing they could have use to manipulate.

Really Russians could be very intolerant/nationalistic/racist if guests (especially uninvited) massively and regularly do noticeable harm and/or try to establish some unacceptable/unpleasant traditions or habits. But again, in case of blacks, we just have no any noticeable interactions to decide if that guests are not welcomed here. May be juging race/nation in whole by the behaviour of most of them is not very good thing, but that is how it goes here. Average Russian will be at least suspicious of Jews, people from Caucasus tribes and middle-asians from Tajikistan, Usbekistan, etc. And there is the solid reasons for that.
