"This satirical look at "only a theory" disclaimers imagines what might happen if advocates applied the same logic to the theory of gravitation that they do to the theory of evolution."
Watch out so you do not start devolving into a fruit fly. Species adopting to their surroundings always been a thing, do not need theory of evolution to understand that selected breading produce certain results, a dog always stay a dog though.
Young earth creationists often believe we coexisted with dinosaurs at some point. You're not as crazy as you think. Or only as crazy as some people who take their faith to another level. But not quite as crazy as those who believe the government still has our best interests in mind. ;)
If you read the Bible from a literary perspective of ancient history, the descriptions of behemoth and leviathan in the book of Job are equally odd. Dude is describing animals that sound remarkably like dinosaurs in a text written over 3K years ago. Also, a fun rabbit hole is reading up on dragons in many ancient cultural traditions.
Of course, there are alternate theories within the religious text world to explain oddities like these away, but its fun to think about either way.
Science is the opposing side of religion. Left vs right.. It is coded, the truth is hidden within it. Common sense, logic and experiments have been replaced with mathematical equations.
Einstein did a number on humanity.
There's holes in both the flat Earth and spherical Earth. The illusion of choice. I've seen concave, hollow and crater Earth theories, I need to keep digging and learning. Something is missing.
Or as another "what if". What if our physical reality is LITERALLY shaped by our consensus view of it? What if back when the general populous thought the world was flat (no dig on flat earthers here) the earth was actually flat, and as we evolved to see the world as round it BECAME round as a result of our collective belief in it. What if physical reality is actually a constantly changing thing that depends upon our perception of it in order to be perceived at all.
So in other words. If there is no consciousness to experience "that which is" then "that which is" wouldn't fundamentally exist, as there is no conscious basis for establishing its concrete existence. Thusly, if consciousness is fundamentally what brings "reality" into existence, is it proper to think that perhaps consciousness is what shapes the very nature of "reality" itself?
I started with flat earth back in HS. Moved onto hollow/cavernous earth. I’m currently at prison planet earth. Until the next piece of the puzzle reveals itself to me
When you drop something, and it falls, that is not gravity, that is up and down and how different density and buoyancy levels work. Gravity is how two different objects attract each other, something that has never been proven to be a thing.
Because a object that is denser than air will fall down, until it finds it buoyancy level, or it is physical stopped. That is why helium rises, as it is lighter than air, so it goes up until it finds it buoyancy level, or it is contained.
I know one thing for certain, even with infinite possibilities, Jesus Christ is always going to win, and cast Satan and his followers in the lake of fire.
With infinite possibilities you would need to include infinite scenarios in which Christ loses and infinite variations of each and so on. And there is a reason it is called "faith". You can believe with all your heart and still accept the fact that it is a belief based on faith and there is nothing wrong with that.
The Universal Theory of Gravity is often taught in schools as a fact, when in fact it is not even a good theory.
First of all, no one has measured gravity for every atom and every star. It is simply a religious belief that it is "universal".
There are still people here who believe in theory of evolution?
I dunno. I observe it in bacteria, fruit flies and other short lived species of animals and naturally plants.
The whole claimed hominid lineage only a matter of evolution? Doubtful.

Buoyancy doesn't happen where there is no gravity. It is a product of gravity.
Is that why the moon has no effect on the tide hear on earth?
Which way is up without gravity
Normally you would say that up is up. If you look at the North star, no matter where on earth you see it, no matter what time of day, that be up.
You don't seem to understand the point of the question. Why don't things fall upwards in your worldview
