You may have seen this before, but Tyrian silver (aka shekels) had Ba'al Hammon on them.
He was a god, but there is a human on the coins: Hercules. Hercules was seen as the personification of Ba'al Hammon.
Also of interest is that Ba'al Hammon was seen as equivalent to El or Saturn.
Edit: Just wanted to say this: Think of the contrast of Jesus vs. Hercules. Of course an evil god would have a persona like Hercules, because they envision themselves to be physically powerful, and they are mainly rooted in the material and sensory realms. So, too, cultists would want a "champion" that reflects their material nature.
So yeah, when Jesus flipped over the table in the temple, the moneychangers could have had Hercules coinage. I find it pretty interesting. But what do I know?

Completely different ballpark. I think MOST people miss the point of the golden calves, and how important it is to today...
