Lockdowns, Masks and Social Distancing retaining for a decade or more (indefinite pandemic state) worldwide for no apparent reason is a LOT more debilitating than "Vax".
At least if they do release the real Wuhan virus out of nowhere they could justify themselves for a realistically survivable crisis. (Like Fukushima or Katrina instead of Nazi Germany or Maoist China)
