I've seen the Google maps images, I wish I would of archived been trying to search it's ridiculous how many 404 errors you get now. Go read the comments on devon island google maps you'll see people saw them too. If anyone finds them link me to it. There used to be dozens of photos on the Google maps, now there's just one.
This looks like what’s happening. The first photo in the collage has the same shadows, rocks, angle of the sky, etc. and you can find it on NASA’s website as coming from Mars. I feel like whomever prepared this collage recolored the Mars images and labeled them with the testing site. Sneaky.

I'm old enough to remember about the Manhattan Project for the bomb. Many thousands kept the secrets. An old professor of mine was there and wrote about the secrecy later.

There was a movie out not too long ago, two years ago maybe, where they showed how some guys faked the moon landings. The way they explained it was nearly everyone at NASA was in the dark. Most people weren't informed and just carried on doing their jobs believing they were really working on a genuine mission to the Moon.
Wouldn't surprise me if there was a secret group for faking the moon landing in case anything went wrong they could psych out Russia and protect the national psyche.
Then when it actually happened they bury it and nobody knows it was even on the table.

If nasa crashed a probe by accident, I could definitely see a strong incentive to pretend the mission still worked with some fake photos.
