Okay, the magnetic field weakening would be bad, because it would allow solar radiation to strip away our atmosphere. We'd end up like Mars. Mankind would nuke the polar regions to make more atmosphere. It would fuck up our electronics if the polls reversed, that happens every once and awhile.
But how will it make people go insane? I want the biomechanics of it OP. How will the lessening of the earth's magnetic field physically cause insanity?
Also, we are talking about a long timeline here for magnetic field weakening.
It has weakened and flipped many times. We'll be just fine. Cancer will go up, and we'll get a shade darker. Id be more worried about a world without laughter.
At a minimum it would utterly fuck our circadian rhythm and the Schumann Resonance of the planet. But I’d love to hear his and any other line of thought
