IF we're talking about the US corn,

it's not new but it is true that the amount of China's buying the US corn has skyrocketed since around Q3 2020. We've hardly heard about this last year, because, well, we've been busy with the election and the MSM haven't put on their best enthusiasm to report the news until recently.

And

this rapidly increasing demand on the US corn has been happening not because the CCP has changed their mind and decided to keep their promise on the US-China phase one trade deal [1], but because, around Aug. 2020, China was finally able to get started rebuilding their "hog herd." And they too know the food shortage is soon coming to China. [2] [3]

On Feb 11, 2021,

Financial Times reported that "China’s record corn purchases have traders wondering if bump can last."

https://www.ft.com/content/94b04a3e-6169-4b07-8218-413138c641a1

China bought a record 11.3m tonnes of corn last year (2020), of which more than a third came from the US. In late January (of 2021), the US Department of Agriculture announced that China had bought another 2.1m tonnes, the largest single sale to the country in history and the second largest on record.

China’s big purchases of corn come as the country rebuilds its hog herd after a devastating wave of African swine fever a few years ago hit its pig population. Adding to that, the domestic corn industry is now reflecting a decline in plantings several years ago when Beijing halted its corn stockpiling programme and minimum purchase prices. These were initially put in place to encourage self-sufficiency, but led to state inventories ballooning.

Putting aside the OP's sentiment on the Guardian article linked here for a moment, I would like to quickly point out two things about said article:

First, this Guardian article is a typical (political) hit piece with one of typical hit piece structures, which I call "cherry pickings bookended by obscure but emotional anecdotes."

With the title like "'The last straw': the US families ending love affair with grocery chain after Capitol riot," you expect that this article would display at least some statistics of how the US families' spending habits in the grocery chain Publix have changed since the Capitol riot and the conceivable rationale behind the statistics.

Instead, you'll read personal statements of Ms. Wendy Mize that are bookending all the crooked things Publix has done to support the wrong side of the spectrum.

So, are there any more the US families in the Publix chain area, other than the family of Wendy (Wander) Mize, "57, an advertising copywriter from Orlando"? More importantly, how much of the spending has been decreased since the incident?

Second, said article's author, Richard Luscombe.

If you research about him, (it would be a tad annoying because he doesn't have an elaborated profile page on the Guardian or a dedicated Wikipedia page for that matter, but) you'll find that, for the past 19 years, Mr. Luscombe has been a freelance correspondent based in Miami, writing for the Guardian and other international media outlets. But mostly for The Guardian. And for the outlet, he wrote tons, tons of political articles over the years, including a series on the Pulse nightclub shooting.

Before this 19 years of his quite successful freelance period, he worked for 10 years as a reporter & columnist at the Daily Telegraph's London office. Ten years of the London office. Not at The Sun but at The Daily Telegraph. Then, he moved to Miami to become a freelance reporter for the Guardian. Hm. Did he find a religion, maybe? For the record, the Guardian runs the 3 main offices (NYC, DC, SF -- Before 2013, it was 4 including one in Houston.) and plenty of other small ones (the cubicles they call) in the US.

Let me say this though: I've heard that when people in the media industry read a resume like his, they see a colourful blinking sign, "When you talk to this applicant, do not try to chit chat about his/her personal tidbits."

Why would the GOP want to do something about the tech censorship? If I haven't missed something obvious, those so called big tech platforms haven't tried to shut down the voices from the GOP or the RINO.

Those platforms have only been censoring the US nationalism voices, pro trump sentiments, or anything that remotely supports either of them.

The GOP, or even Progressive Democrats for that matter, has been pursuing everything the globalism has presented, while cynically berating the US nationalism and calling it an isolationism or an alt-right ideology.

And

unlike what Tim Pool and the panel seem to believe (or just pretend to believe), the big tech companies do not decide what they would censor. Let me rephrase it: Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Dorsey, or Susan Wojcicki doesn't have a complete authority on their own platforms. They didn't gather around and decide together to kill the Hunter Biden laptop story. Someone told them to.

The big interest groups, be it the major political cliques or international banking cartels, are the ones who are pulling the strings behind the curtain when it deems necessary. And that's why you don't see the GOP or the Democrats are doing something worth when it comes to the censorship by Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube.

Linked here is a somewhat interesting article Kurt Campbell wrote for Politico regarding "investing in the U.S. relationship with China."

The backdrop of the article is the 2013 annual US-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue, and the 100,000 Strong Initiative launched by Hillary Clinton in 2010 is mentioned.

Jan 28, 2013 -- Exchange students with China

https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:Tt5fQQQLn4gJ:https://www.politico.com/story/2013/01/an-education-exchange-wouldstrengthen-ties-with-china-086825+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=ca

Both the annual US-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue and the 100,000 Strong Initiative were actually architectured by the CCP official named Wang Qishan. Madam Hillary is just one of the managers. (Who were the other two US managers? [1] [2])

Wang Qishan, the current Vice President of China, is well know as a true believer of the ideology called "The Distinction between Hua and Yi."

What is this thing called The Distinction between Hua and Yi?

Let Wikipedia explain it:

The distinction between Huá and Yí, also known as Sino–barbarian dichotomy, is an ancient Chinese concept that differentiated a culturally defined "China" (called Huá) from cultural or ethnic outsiders (Yí, conventionally "barbarians").

Although Yí is often translated as "barbarian", other translations of this term in English include "foreigners", "ordinary others" "wild tribes", and "uncivilised tribes".

The Hua–Yi distinction asserted Chinese superiority, but implied that outsiders could become Hua by adopting Chinese values and customs.

If someone wants to have a real fun, get the following three timelines and compare: (A) the timeline of Ms. Clinton's running SAP information on her private server, (B) the development timeline of Chengdu J-20, the CCP's fifth-generation fighter aircraft, and (C) the timeline (history) and participants of the annual US-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue

Unrelated Tidbits

Lloyd Austin, the US defense secretary, was rumoured to become the secretary when Hillary was supposed to be inaugurated in 2017. But she fumbled big time. So, they placed him, Mr. Lloyd Austin, a life long infantry commander, on the board of directors at a healthcare company called, Tenet Healthcare. Let's see if Mr. Austin's payday is coming soon.

And talking about Tenet, I am wondering where the loan is actually coming from.

Out of all the silly things currently going on including the covid-19 phenomenon, this is believe or not what most intelligence analysts expect (and are afraid of) would change the whole paradigm and reset the framework of how we live and communicate.

So,

the article the OP has linked to here is saying that:

Morgan Muir, the longtime CIA analyst, is now tasked with delivering Biden's daily intelligence briefings, along with Avril Haines, the new director of national intelligence.

However, the record shows in 2013 Mr. Muir played a leading role in defending CIA torture program and lied about said program to the senate intelligence committee.

After the announcement of him being tasked with said briefings at Biden's white house, three members of the 2013 senate intelligence committee came out and said Mr. Muir is not to be trusted.

Okay.

However, the issue I see in this story is that what kind of geopolitical leaning both Morgan Muir and Avril Haines have. These two can manage the direct input of (foreign) intelligence into Biden after all.

In my knowledge, Morgan Muir is the protege of Paul Wolfowitz who belongs to the Condoleezza Rice clique. And it has long been believed that, together with Mr. Wolfowitz, Morgan Muir was responsible for shaping up George W Bush's Taiwan policy, "We oppose any unilateral decision, by either China or Taiwan, to change the status quo." Meaning, the W would keep respecting the One-China policy.

Then,

there's Avril Haines who, after her Obama admin days, was working for WestExec Advisors, a consulting firm with lots of Beijing connections. Those connections have showed vast interests especially in the US defense programs. The interests the firm was eagerly helping to satisfy. By the way the firm was founded by none other than Antony Blinken, the current secretary of state.

tl;dr

Of course what Mr. Muir has done in the past concerns me because of what kind of job he's going to do. But I am more interested in what kind of foreign policies this new admin is going to carry out. Are those going to be worthy of the term Beijing Biden?

Edited to Add:

We should note that it probably was not Morgan Muir's sole decision when he defended CIA's torture program + lied to the committee. That's not how bureaucracy works. Before testifying to the committee, he would have discussed with his direct superiors regarding what & how to say in front of the committee. And my guess is that (if not all the way to the top, the director of CIA) at least the head of the anti-terrorism desk would have been aware of said senate committee situation long beforehand.

So, in my opinion, if we're going to hold Mr. Muir responsible for misleading the committee with false information (of course we must), we should also ask those direct superiors of his how they have let it happen.

In case you want to do so, you're looking at Lisa Monaco, John Carlin, and possibly John Brennan. Just saying.

Tin foil hat time:

Although Trump was said to believe the full blown martial law would only regress the nation, many accounts noted that a number of people from his team and several US military factions voiced signing the insurrection act was necessary and even justified.

The rumour is that Mark Milley was the one who cooled down those voices and also was the one who made sure the foreign intervention parts in the DNI report were severely downplayed.

Looking at Ms. Harris furiously thanking Mark Milley while the new commander in chief wandering around like a senile gramp, I'm thinking it's not just a rumour after all.

Trump was warning months in advance that the mail in ballots were going to be a disaster, and pushed to get ACB at SCOTUS because he knew a case would come to them about the election. He had court cases prior to the election where he tried to stop the changes, but the courts cowardly caved to the "covid emergency".

This is simply the fact. It's too bad we'd often need to point out those in fact happened.

I mean the stoppages in the middle of the night with tens of thousands of ballots dumped.

More of this is said to be coming out and will be revealed to public.

...............

Nowadays, I compare the aftermath of 2020 US election to what happened after 9/11. After the shock settled, many people started looking closer into the event. Although most of the evidence were already long gone, they realized something was not right. We know how the (almost) whole system including MSM treated those people. As you're aware, the pressures(?) are coming in. Still, we would need to keep our eyes on the evidences as well as the court cases that are still going on. And whenever possible and/or necessary, we would need to voice our opinions on those evidences & court cases, even when our society makes it harder for us to do so.

Eh, believe or not, Trump team expected how 2020 election would happen long before 2020 started. Especially with the 2020 S. Korean election case. It's just Trump team severely underestimated the system. They thought if they gathered enough legally admissible evidences, they could win legal and/or political fights. We all know how it turned out. It was a concerted + choreographed effort from all factions.

What happened in the US post-election? The exact same aftermath happened in S. Korea by the way. All things pointed that the S. Korea case was a test run. And it's reported Myanmar learned how to do it from S. Korea.

Oct 09, 2020 -- 미얀마, 총선앞두고 한국 ‘코로나 총선’ 노하우 요청 (Google Translation) Myanmar asks for know-how for Korea’s “Corona general election” ahead of the general election

https://aseain.club/?p=10357

The difference is that in the Myanmar case, a big enough faction (Xi's Princeling) backed + sponsored the coup after the election. However, both in the US and S. Korea, all the major factions (obviously except the Trump team and the S. Korean conservative party) came together and agreed on the process + result even before the start.

Sorry if I'm being a downer.

My pleasure. It's just I'm not sure my explaining-things ability would do a good job on the fly. :D Let me try.

As you probably know, in China, the real ruling class (?) is the so called globalist (global authoritarians) like the Rockefellers, the Rothschilds, and the Bushes. Under that main level, there is Politburo of the CCP. Within that politburo, there are several factions working together but competing with each other, such as Xi Jinping's Princeling, Shanghai clique, and Communist Youth League. [Elaboration on Globalist-CCP]

And of course there are many factions in DC just like the CCP's politburo factions mentioned above.

The word is that since 2020 election, the clique with Obama as its figurehead (madam Hillary works for this clique too) and the Dick Cheney faction are at the turf war.

What this turf war is about? Money. It's always money (= power). And the word is that they are fighting for which faction would be the one that choose the proprietary election platform in the coming years.

And the recent Myanmar military coup is said to be what Xi Jinping's Princeling is taking advantage of said turf war. Min Aung Hlaing being a figure sponsored by the Bushes and Aung San Suu Kyi being a figure sponsored by the Obama+Hillary clique. Both figures are of course friendly with the CCP in general, and this January, the Aung San Suu Kyi faction signed over 35 MOU projects with China in associated with the belt and road initiative. Her faction did it specifically with Xi's Princeling sponsored companies. --> the Genie Energy faction didn't like this and wanted to be a part. --> Xi's Princeling thought otherwise.

The don't have the votes to convict.

This, I believed concretely.

Let's hope they focus a lot more on the turf war currently raging in DC instead of this farce.

This slightly concerns me. Right now, the word is that the pressures are coming in on all fronts + onto anyone who supports anything in some way that resembles pro-Trump and/or the US nationalism. And I didn't think it'd happen but the senate might convict him at the trial. Hm.

Anthony Fauci is just like any other career bureaucrats or, say, many others in today's journalism industry or entertainment business. -- No principles except only obeying the feeding hands + following the hands' orders.

Thing is (I know it's an archaic or a naive take but) bureaucrats are supposed to demonstrate neutrality in political affairs, to administer the rules without bias, and to be the guardians of their nation's constitutional principles. I've met some who still believe + follow that mantra, but for sure witnessed many who treat said mantra like a lost art.

So, who are the feeding hands here?

Maybe, the Chinese guy in the middle of this picture who has been in spending frenzy on the US academia and IT industry? No. Ask yourself. Which factions were capable of setting up the meeting shown on said picture? Especially even with contacting those so called big tech heads at the very last-minute? Which factions were capable of shutting out Bo Xilai, then having sponsored Xi Jinping financially and politically? And what was going on in 2015? -- This is a fun little rabbit hole.

Tidbits:

Fauci attended the Jesuit Regis High School in Manhattan's Upper East Side, and in 1968, Fauci joined the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as a clinical associate in the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).

In 1984, he arrived at the NIAID director position. There, he played a significant role in driving development of biodefense drugs and vaccines following the 9/11.

Man, Warren, that bitch. Even when I used to be a card carrying bernie bro at the inpatient adolescent program during 2016 democratic primaries, I could always smell a dash of hypocrisy in her speech and/or statement. Sounded like obnoxious songs played in the morning over the cheap chinese made alarm clock radio. Like Hitchens said, people who let you know where they're coming from are fine by me.

If they let this go unpunished it creates enough fear to topple wall street from the panic. They're saying they can steal your money whenever they lower your share prices and stop you from accessing your ownoney. What sane person lets someone like that have access to theiry money?

I'm not sure if the chain reaction + its end result of this case might be in a way a small seed to cause people's awakening, but for some reason what you said here sent a chill down my spine. What a start to the new year.

Title: Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix' Semiconductor Core Technology Leaked... to Chinese Competitors

(This article seems to be a written down version of the TV news segment.)

[anchor] A bunch of business partners who leaked SK Hynix's advanced semiconductor technology to Chinese competitors were handed over to trial.

They were caught trying to make and sell semiconductor equipment worth billions of won after stealing the core technology of Samsung Electronics' subsidiaries.

This is reporter Han Dong-oh.

[reporter] This is a cleaning operation that removes impurities in the semiconductor manufacturing process.

It is a key technology that determines the most suitable mixing ratio, spraying sequence, and speed while performing the process with tens of thousands of substrates or more.

Officials from partner companies who leaked SK hynix's cleaning recipe and the latest DRAM semiconductor manufacturing process technology to China were caught by the prosecution.

It was investigated that they secretly handed over key national technologies and information learned through collaboration with manufacturers to Chinese competitors.

In addition, it was revealed that the drawings of semiconductor cleaning equipment developed by a semiconductor equipment company, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, were acquired through former employees.

They also used this information to make their own semiconductor cleaning equipment for export, which costs about 7 billion won per unit.

The prosecution explained that the company appears to have stolen key technologies to expand sales channels in China.

Business officials are said to have admitted to the leak in the prosecution's investigation, but denied that they did not know it was important information.

The prosecution has been investigating for six months after obtaining information from the Industrial Confidential Protection Center under the National Intelligence Service that domestic core technologies have been leaked to China.

The prosecution prosecuted five people, including the head of a research institute of a partner company, for violating the Industrial Technology Protection Act, and indicted 12 people without custody.

Equipment made with the leaked technology was caught before being sold to China, and exports were blocked.

If people dig into this a bit deeper, they'll find the flight manifest, which would show that the four people out of the whole ten on the board were/are related to Samsung + the current S. Korean administration.

It'll be an "a lot more intriguing material" after you find out more on what has happened to S. Korea - China - the US in the 2010s and the current relationship between Beijing and the current S. Korean admin (and Samsung).

Fun question:

How do you prevent a foreign or an international "crime control" organization from talking to or questioning someone in your own nation who is famous and works at the very top chain of a multinational corporation? You put him in a jail and control the visits.

In an ordinary world, if frequency of short squeeze's occurrence is higher, it probably is the sign that encourages you to do the following: You may want to review + rebalance your portfolio > sell investments > buy risk-free(er) assets instead.

But this is now a clown world, so who knows.

Especially, I saw earlier that news about Pelosi & Tesla + Disney made rounds and now many people are talking about the news.

This news making rounds made me wonder why they would want us normies to talk about said news and what's the real purpose.

This is regarding For the People Act of 2021, yes?

https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-bill/1/text

I appreciate that Mr. Kline spent his time and wrote a piece about the bill on a reputable channel.

In my opinion right now we would need to pay way more attention on this bill and need to understand why this bill is so alarming. And people need to speak up and reach out to their representatives.

To me, naturally it reminds me of the "Primero la gente (People comes first)" movement in Venezuela and S. Korea. Not really good.
