But leaving aside
- hoaxed and falsified evidence,
- perjurious witnesses
- confessions extracted by torture
- application of retrospective law (the laws that were supposedly "broken" were not international law at the time the offenses were supposedly commited) and
- the fact that the Allies who sat in judgement were themselves guilty of every single crime charged against the Germans

My personal view is that it has to do wtih the end of cheap oil. Oil is at least three times more expensive in inflation-adjusted dollars nowadays than it was in the period 1920-1970 (when it averaged out at about $20 a barrel). That is why we have had all of this money flooding the system and low interest rates since the 1970s, to maintain demand for a product that has become increasingly expensive, and why industry was shifted to low-overhead countries.
The end game is to shut down the West and give its share of world consumption to Asia, in particular Venezuelan and Canadian oil sands, which are too expensive to mine for America bcs of local overheads, but could be produced at an acceptable price if the North Amercian standard of living were impoverished.
At the same time, the US and Canada will continue to produce food. But the population and its overheads must be reduced drastically.
