Tbh i live in Florida and I'm fine with the guy. We have no mask mandates, no vaccine mandates nor are we locked down and he just lets us be. He's not perfect by any means but i am absolutely voting him back in over what Democrats are offering here.

The guy he beat last time turned out to be drug addict who fell out of politics (Gillium)

Ron desantis said himself 22 other states have guards this isn't a move that is uncommon

https://www.news4jax.com/news/florida/2021/12/02/gov-desantis-proposes-reestablishing-florida-state-guard-civilian-volunteer-force/

During a hurricane, natural disaster or other state emergency, civilians “trained in the best emergency techniques” could be called in through the Florida State Guard to help the Florida National Guard, DeSantis said.

He noted that Florida would be the 23rd state with a state guard recognized by the federal government.

Half the country has this

You should actually listen to the video. It's quite unbelievable the officer even speaks with the producer on the phone. This isn't a everyday thing nor some joke

The article mentions how the laws are in place in new York and california

In 2016, California passed a law requiring large contractors working with a state agency to certify that they will not discriminate against Israel, and Andrew Cuomo, as governor of New York, signed an executive order that compels state entities to divest money and assets from a list of organizations regarded by the state as participating in the boycott. Senator Chuck Schumer of New York proposed national anti-boycott legislation.

In the United States, one such strategy took the form of anti-B.D.S. bills. Currently, more than 30 states have provisions on the books similar to Arkansas’s.

DES MOINES – Gov. Reynolds released the following statement today on court's mask-mandate ruling.

“Today, a federal judge unilaterally overturned a state law, ignored the decision by our elected legislature and took away parents’ ability to decide what’s best for their child. We will appeal and exercise every legal option we have to uphold state law and defend the rights and liberties afforded to any American citizen protected by our constitution,” said Gov. Kim Reynolds.
