Democracy is a group of people making a decision for all, Anarchism is an individual making a decision for themselves. I believe the history of warfare has clearly demonstrated intelligence is a much more effective weapon than brute force. That's why humans are the apex predators over say lions, elephants or bears.
Because it's your personal choice.
To stand on your own two feet ideologically without coercion by illegitimate authority takes a higher form of thinking than many are capable of. Throw out the rules you've been taught to live by other than those you've decided for yourself and see for yourself.
No joke they got people so scared of a word they won't even look into it themselves!
What you mean by "being your own master" is being free from any constraints aka liberation theory, where complete personal liberty is the ultimate good in life.
I never said that. I said you decide what being your own master means, Anarchism is individual choice wrapped in a scary looking word. In your example you are deciding the dominatrix is a legitimate authority by your own volition, by your own choice.
Governments derive the legitimacy of their authority from the consent of the governed, if a government does not have the consent of the governed it is by definition an illegitimate authority. What basic rules are you referring to?
Look around, most people do. Men specifically are taught you need to have a wife and kids and work overtime to buy shit you don't need and save for the 5-10 years of "retirement" to enjoy your golden years. Most people choose a life of servitude without ever considering what they want.
I actually think that was the only name they could use in Hollyweird because it's obvious Oliver Stone is not a tool of the CIA just watch Platoon or as you said JFK
You don't live in "nature" you live above it in an asphalt jungle. Humans have the ability to articulate their thoughts into words animals do not possess this ability, you are using what is called a false dichotomy as an argument.
Illegitimate authority killed the Tsar and then started locking people up in the gulags...but that is just proof that reality is hierarchical.
Were you there? Who are you to say it was an illegitimate authority? And people getting killed isn't "proof that reality is hierarchical" no matter how many times you say it. I have no authority over your powers of comprehension.
Don't believe everything you are told. Anarchism
You are asking my opinion on to me what is a self explanatory statement. What I think "being your own master" and what you think it means could be totally different things and I feel when it comes to anarchism specifically after the groundwork it's best to come to your own well considered conclusions
Whatever you mean it to. See what's happening here is called an appeal to authority, don't ask me ask yourself! That's fucking ANARCHY!
FOR EXAMPLE If you by yourself chose to listen to say Joe Rogan as an authority in your life that's a legitimate authority because you individually chose it. Illegitimate authority is authority you did not chose. We were born into a system where we have no control over who makes decisions for us that makes the authority of the government illegitimate because all governments derive their authority from the consent of the governed. Without the consent of the governed the governments themselves cease to be legitimate.
Again, Anarchism is the rejection of illegitimate authority. That authority is decided by the people, if the people individually agree to the authority it's not illegitimate. If they choose to live in a society with a court and police that's still Anarchism because they individually chose it.
Not everyone has the balls to be their own master
However they choose
There's no one legitimately in charge. Just look at your daily life whose holding a gun to your head making sure you don't kill yourself? No one. Who's keeping you from taking a shit on your neighbors lawn during a family BBQ? NO ONE. People feel the need to believe there's someone keeping them in line but it's completely your choice.
No democracy in theory is a group of people allowing the voice of many to make decisions for them. Anarchism is individual choice.
I don't care what you do but when you discuss something I know about in an ignorant manner I feel inclined to form a rebuttal.
There's no "laws of logic and grammar" there's agreed upon beliefs but English is a living language if what you are saying can be understood by another 7h3n 17s n0t w20n9.
There's no one in charge. Neither of us have authority over this conversation nor does anyone else in the world. Do you understand what I mean when I say "the nature of"?
You could've gone your entire life without uttering those words and absolutely no one would've ever accused you otherwise.
The people decide the legitimacy of the authority the government governs with. If a group of people decide by their own volition to live by a set of rules that's an anarchistic society. Anarchism is the rejection of illegitimate authority such as the authority our government exerts over us. I do not decide where my tax dollars go neither do you because we were born into a society governed with illegitimate authority
No you don't because it's your choice. If someone was holding you against your will in their basement then you are not your own master but if you decide to live in someone's basement chained to the wall who's really in control? YOU ARE
