FOR EXAMPLE If you by yourself chose to listen to say Joe Rogan as an authority in your life that's a legitimate authority because you individually chose it. Illegitimate authority is authority you did not chose. We were born into a system where we have no control over who makes decisions for us that makes the authority of the government illegitimate because all governments derive their authority from the consent of the governed. Without the consent of the governed the governments themselves cease to be legitimate.
I never said anything about Joe Rogan or any of the other stawman shit you're writing.
Illegitimate authority killed the Tsar and then started locking people up in the gulags...but that is just proof that reality is hierarchical.

No man is an island. You live in a society. Societies are hierarchical, because they have power over the individual.
Hierarchy flows from power. Power doesn't care about legitimacy.
And if you want a side debate about legitimate vs illegitimate governments, that's a whole other issue.

This entire conversation is about anarchism and somehow you believe it's about reiterating nonsense statements on hierarchies. No government is legitimate without the consent of the governed.
