What are the Ten commandments?

The Ten Commandments were known and obeyed by faithful people before the law was given at Sinai. Later incorporated into the new covenant, they constitute the basic moral code for humanity (as further explained by Jesus) and are obeyed to demonstrate the believer’s love for God and his fellow man.

In total there are some 613 Old Testament commandments and 1,050 New Testament commandments throughout the Bible, with some being applicable to us new covenant Christians and others no longer. Boiled down: Christians today are no longer required to keep the laws exclusive only to the law of Moses, however everything else outside of this, Old and New Testament, still applies. Among those that still apply to Christians today are the Ten Commandments and the many commandments of Christ; when summarised these become: “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind” and “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself”.

But I implore you not to take my word for it, but to come to your own convictions: “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15).

Just because God asked Israel to make cherubim’s in His temple, doesn't mean the second commandment is null and void. They were not bowing to the cherubim's, they were bowing to God, specifically the Ark of the Covenant which the cherubim were also glorifying by being depicted as bowing down to Him and covering Him with their wings just as they do in heaven. Not to mention the Lord God explicitly commanded them to make the cherubim. This is very different to making carved and molten idols and depictions that you directly bow down to and worship. Last I checked God didn't command you to make your best depiction of Jesus Christ with long womanly flowing hair, or to put an image of a dead saint in your car for protection. He commanded you not to do such things.

Don't Judge God by the wolves in sheep's clothing who attempt to impersonate his true followers. Satan fights God's church by joining them and corrupting them from within, which by and large he has been very successful in doing. You must base your judgement upon the Bible alone, not what you see the hypocrites, who are really servants of Satan, doing.

It is good that you see the Pope is a Jesuit. What i'm not sure you're aware of is that the Pope is the antichrist, that man of sin and that son of perdition (each successive pope). He is the head of the modern continuation of Babylon. The mother of harlots who gave birth to all the other false religions you see today e.g. Islam, Buddhism, Greek Orthodox etc. Everything the Roman Catholic church teaches and practices is opposite to what is commanded in the Bible, and they martyred 50-100million Christians during their reign of terror from 538AD - 1798AD.

Between these manuscripts there is an accuracy of 99.5%, making it the most accurate historical text that exists by orders of magnitude.

In regards to your question, none of the translations to other languages are perfect, only the original Greek version of the New Testament is, and the original Hebrew/Aramaic versions of the Old Testament are. However, some of the translations available to us are very good and accurate.

The majority of the Apostles were persecuted greatly and killed for their testimony, which they remained steadfast in until their deaths. That does not sound like "men in power".

The original Greek version of the Bible is God's inspired Word, inerrant in its original writing and the only authoritative and infallible rule of faith and conduct for humanity.

The King James version, like all the other translations, is far from perfect but in my opinion is a very good base for learning and understanding Gods Word in the Bible. One must study the King James in tandem with the original Greek to develop a more correct understanding of Gods Word. The Holy Spirit will guide the faithful Christian through the process.
