Where is the science behind this? Do you believe that neurons actually exist in the stomach and heart? Or are you simply labelling them or using metaphors?
elite worship something
They do. In fact, all people do have one of some sort. If you reject Christianity, some other belief will inevitably occupy your "worldview seat".
Thx for info.
Do people go to Heaven, though?
What about the death toll from (XYZ+), what's up with those events?
And how do you know WHAT the 1K years of the devil being imprisoned were? Or even that it was in the past??? There is nothing in the Bible referring to that specifically.
Someone says "If you total the combined death toll from: The Crusades European Wars of Religion Taiping Rebellion Mahdist War Modern Extremist Movements " and that "nobody will enter "Heaven" as it exists. the entire point of the new testament is how God will bring His Kingdom down to earth. the pagan concept of going to Heaven is one of the worst false doctrines inflicted upon mainstream Christianity. Those passages are referring to the 1000 year period after Christ's second advent when Satan is put into a temporary prison and has NOTHING to do with going to heaven."
Read Isaiah. And both the NT and OT are Scripture.
5 muslims qualify as "everyone"
How so?
It is.
Ok
Many Christians consider Sunday to be the Sabbath and/or believe keeping the Sabbath is required of Christians. Nothing in the Bible ever says Sunday is the Sabbath
It is Saturday that is the 7th. I think the sunday thing is because of cathfakeism catholicism.
and the NT in a linear view doesn't say to keep it; it says you don't have to keep it.
Jesus fulfilled the Old Covenant. Think of a flask. Jesus filled that flask. Now there is the New Covenant. Think of a metal jar. The flask is like the Old Covenant, the metal jar is like the New one.
yet how many Christians advocate for following the 10 commandments which brings back Sabbath
Because the Bible says the Sabbath was made for man. That is specific to the Sabbath, not any of the other 10.
The messages about how to live are not consistent throughout the Biblical texts.
Like what? You have promoted belief in doublethink, so even if your claims are true, Christianity should be no problem for you. Yet it is. So either accept Christianity, drop doublethink, or both. I suggest you do both, it would help you.
(NRSVUE).
NASB 1977 and 1995 are best. Most accurate. They have been wonderful for me.
The OT talks about keeping the Sabbath in moral absolute language.
God also told people to take cities. Does that mean Christians are supposed to go fight and take over areas today, too? Goofy logic.
The NT talks about it in a manner of moral relativity.
Nope, that is simply God not commanding people to have certain conducts with food.
Nonbelievers when God gives Commands: ""OHMYGOODNESS GOD IS SOOOO TYRANNICAL!1!!11 HE IS LICHERALLY HIDDLER!!!!1!11111".
Nonbelivers when He doesn't give Commands: "OHMYGOODNESS TOO MUCH FREEDOM!! BE MORE TYRANNICAL PLEEZE!!!!11!". Nonbelievers are stupid like that.
It reiterates the moral relativity of it
That argument doesn't stand up because there is no evidence that is still for us today. Jesus fulfilled the Old Covenant.
If another point in the Bible does away with needing to follow Exodus 31:12-17, that makes it morally relative and not morally absolute to follow.
If I fill up my water bottle to the max, is there anything more to fill?
Cool, I suggest taking in 5 Muslims into your home. Give updates.
Not relevant. Next.
Yes. "bringing religion back" How vague and shallow. WHAT religion? Definitely they don't mean Christianity....
hindu. its a known and searchable fact.
It is a stupid idea to have a pagan as the FBI LEADER. Never send a nonChristian to do a Christian's job.
aussieland will become the 3rd world in 3, 2.....
Speaking of monarchy, I have wondered why the left has Monarchy Derangement Syndrome. What is so allegedly inherently bad about monarchy that the ones bashing it are typically NOT on the political right?
they think they can use the Catechism, without needing a pope.
Plenty of this post is
CORRECT.
When you push on a wall, it also pushes on you with equal force. https://www.ck12.org/flexi/physical-science/newtons-third-law/you-push-on-a-wall-and-the-wall-pushes-back-on-you-with-the-same-force-this-is-an-example-of-newton's-third-law-true-by-false/
Yes. However that is not contradictory at all. What WOULD be contradictory, is if you were BOTH pushing AND not pushing on it at ONCE.
Our senses aren't reliable. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/consciousness-and-beyond/202403/the-matrix-problem-can-we-trust-our-minds-and-our-senses/amp
Still close enough to 100%, so yes they are. It is only "less than 100%" a TINY FRACTION of the time, unless the person is a heavy substance abuser. By your logic, your statement they "aren't reliable" is ITSELF unreliable, thus cementing my point!
You haven't objectively said what Biblical Christianity is. You haven't stated what exactly people believe and are to do.
Consistently believe and follow the Bible. Believe Genesis. Trust the Bible over contradicting opinions. LIVE like Christianity is TRUE.
It looks absurd when you bash atheism and bring up the worst dictators as examples of what that worldview ends up like, cuz all they have to do is what you do and say nuh-uh those weren't true atheists.
An athiest is someone who disbelieves in God. I'd ask them what makes someone a true athiest.
Christianity is called a faith because it's doesn't have all kinds of hard facts and proofs to support it.
It's not a blind Faith, plus it has MORE facts and proofs than all the other ones do.
There are thousands of different denominations of Christianity too.
And that's why I don't claim a specific one. And this OBLITERATES "Christianity is a cult" because all of those come from that fact that Christians tend to be INDEPENDENT THINKERS, not "cultists".
The Biblical texts do not have 5,000+ predictions that have come true.
I don't know the number of those that came true from then to today.
In my belief with reincarnation, the energy from us that belongs to the earth can form as a cow in between our next reincarnation
Then that is merely "reconstruction of life forms", NOT actual reincarnation. Saying a truck is "something that can fly and has a rocket engine on it and it has no wheels" means it no longer fits the dictionary definition of a truck.
as it does plants and minerals simultaneously, and it's drawn back up into another human.
So when you die you become someone different?
The soul you have in your body isn't the full extent of your soul.
What does this even mean? Are there parts of it? What?
It is your true self. You are a projected image
Where is the projectOR? Can the projector be, like, grabbed and smashed with a hammer?
given form and life from your soul, not you came into being and were given one.
Verse?
If you haven't gotten the idea of paradoxes
So far, none of your examples have been actual paradoxes, only misunderstandings.
both subjective and
Logically impossible. Or do you mean that SOME things are subjective or relative, and OTHER THINGS are objective or absolute?
being in contact
Humans do bad things all the time. Our souls are not as perfect as you think.
Biblical Christianity?
The type of Christianity (the TRUE ONE) that has its believers consistently seriously follow and believe the Bible.
as a cow
Didn't say you were. But that is absolutely a POSSIBILITY in your view, right?
Push on a wall with your hands. Now, did you push on the wall, did it push on you, or both?
You on it.
Look at the way classical physics work on the macro scale of Creation, but not the micro Quantum level of Creation. Reality doesn't fit nicely inside a box.
Then that is how it behaves based on conditions. In no way is this a problem for logic. In no way does this prove that doublethink is a good idea.
"A popped tire is both popped and unpopped because at one time it was unpopped in the past!!"
Nope, a condition had to be met (the nail popping it). Just because things can change doesn't justify doublethink at all. How absurd. The tire is only either popped or unpopped, not both. Before the nail, it is objectively only absolutely unpopped. After it, it pops and is objectively only absolutely popped. The fact change exists does not mean "both at once".
I find your manner of thinking to be a limited form of logic in which it becomes linear to the point of absurdity.
I find that you have mistaken "things can be different at different times" for "contrary ideas can be true at once".
If either of us never made a decision because we could always be wrong, our senses could be deceiving us, and etc, we'd never believe or decide on anything.
Because God gave us reliable senses. How do you extrapolate "axioms exist" to "doublethink is good"? What a stretch.
How do I know any of the authors of the Biblical texts were inspired by God and/or portrayed an accurate portrayal of literal events that happened? While you go on about how do I know what I claim to know and the shortcomings of it with objective proof, what objective proof do you have that the conversations as stated in Genesis between Adam and Eve, and Eve and a snake (or Satan) actually happened as described?
Because out of all the other worldviews, Biblical Christianity has the LEAST holes of all and the MOST explanatory power of all and performs the BEST at justifying reality and giving rational reasons for things. The Bible has been proven right on countless, endless things, and never successfully proven wrong on any, so we can trust the rest of it is true.
If a Weatherman has a great record of successfully predicting the weather, do you trust him or do you trust 5,000+ randos whose record you don't even know??
There comes a point that if you want to bring logical to it's fullness, it requires bringing intuitive thought to it, which looks illogical.
What axioms do you know of that you believe are true?
yet neither conveying the full truth of the matter.
Both convey the full truth of the matter. So which is it?
CLAIM 1: "Neither convey the full truth."
CLAIM 2: "Both convey the full truth."
CLAIM 3: "Only "I posted this." is true."
CLAIM 4: Only "I did NOT post this." is true."
In your worldview, all four claims are both right and wrong at once, yes? Yes???
Which, is found by bringing the two truths together into oneness.
If you touch a hot stove, does your hand turn green and hot, or green and cold? What if everybody around you believes that your hand will flash yellow and cyan if you touch a hot stove? Does that mean your hand will flash yellow and cyan?
So, for example, you said that comment in the form of writing to me
So did I write a comment to you, or did I not? Pick one. Given yur thought process, you will probably say you pick both.
But wait, are you picking both? One or the other? Or neither? Mabye all three claims are right, according to you!
but you did not say it in the form of speech to me.
Then that is not being "two claims being true at once". You have confused "there are multiple ways something can be done" with "what is actually true".
As an example with that, last year I hydroplaned off a highway down a ravine at 70 mph and broke my back and hurt my head, a couple months before I fell and hit my head and had an NDE. I explored the various choices I could have made throughout life and some kind of major wreck or accident at that time in my life wasn't something I could avoid. If I was in a different state or place, it wouldn't have made a difference in changing me having a traumatic life event. What I did have control over was how the outcome of that traumatic life event went. If I had chosen to marry any other lady besides my wife, I would have died. Had I been single or gay even, I would have died in some kind of incident at that time in life. I had wondered if the wreck could have been avoided if I had made different choices in life, and I found out I was living the best outcome. Wasn't the answer I was hoping for.
How do you knos beyond all doubt it wasn't your mind considering and poring over things? Mabye you watched too many scifi movies, and the accident caused you to think deeply. According to some report, if i recall, some guy got their head hit right, and they were lucky it made them smarter instead of stupid. Also, despite your belief in doublethink and erroneous worldview beliefs, you have a surprisingly decent level of logic.
What makes interaction with someone like Ronaldus challenging is that he doesn't seem to accept that I actually believe what I say I believe.
Perhaps.
nice if he allowed that my beliefs make sense to me in my worldview, and that I actually believe what I am saying, even if he thinks I'm delusional or there are other explanations.
Agreed,.
So much for "muh empathy".
massive number of lies
Pretty sure that only started when atheists and leftists took over. Also, who is counting? Do you have a list of "nasa lies"?
What practical, day-to-day applications does believing "earth isn't a globe" and "space=fake" have?
Who in logistics or aviation actually thinks your beliefs are true? Also, people have known the earth was globe since before NASA existed.
Do you know what the Gospel is?
seen an azteroid
Yes I have, a youtube video taken in Russia with a great big ol rock hurtling in the sky over the place. It came from the top right, iirc, and it traveled at a decent speed.
You didn't have the cognitive ability or reading comprehension to even figure out what I was referencing yes and no to,
"You were supposed to assume I actually believe two contradictory things at once!"
You didn't have enough intelligence to figure that out, so I don't have confidence in your ability to ascertain truth or think deeply.
doing appeals to intelligence of the person, are we? Two can play that game. You didn't have enough intelligence to know I'm not just gonna assume you were a doublethinker (read Orwell's 1984 if you don't know what doublethink is). And not enough to know the Bible is objectively true.
Hmm, intresting niche and unique, fresh ideas. Tx. upvoted.
It is true that there is a truckload of stuff we don't, can't or won't ever know about the amazingly designed Body.
