Chi energy?

Pssssh

Biden is a hologram?

Well now that you mention it....

The point is that this years harvest will be down across the board, “war” in addition to “climate change measures driving up the cost of fertilizer” plus labor (i.e. harvester) shortages PLUS the current economic situation of rampant inflation

Food shortages

If I were you I would have started my garden 6 months ago.

What’s the grift? Two canceled shows and all the effort for what? Do you think he has a side hustle selling fake copper wire? Or are you one of those “everything is fake” #Skeptics ?

Graphenium 1 point ago +1 / -0

That’s pretty weak...it’s just character assassination attempts and “it’s fake because it goes against what is currently accepted science”, no proof whatsoever.

Just because his skin conductance (resistance really) topped out at a measurement of one mega ohm while being read on the multimeter doesn’t mean that’s the only value it ever took during the other demonstrations (in fact, he clearly demonstrated the ability to change his skin conductivity by raising it at will), and that was the extent of any kind of “hard fact” in that “proof”

I don’t disagree with anything you’ve said here, but from one anon to another, I don’t share ideas that I don’t find to be valid, so, I’ll say no more on the subject beyond:

the guy in that video, to the best of my knowledge, is the real deal, and I recommend you dive into the subject through some of the links on that page. There’s a book written by a mechanical engineer who trained under the man in the video for a decade. Very interesting to get that information through a Western perspective (aka someone not raised in the tradition who doesn’t take eastern mysticism as a given)

I said chi was misunderstood.

The clip in the OP is just a small part of a 17 minute video.

What the fuck? Did you realize you were obviously wrong and decide to completely sidetrack the conversation lol?

I hope you’re able to understand how the questions are related after reading that link

You asked why we don’t feel the centrifugal force from being on the surface of a rotating earth. She asked how fast that rotation would need to be for the centrifugal force to overcome gravity. I’m sorry you were dropped on your head as a kid, I hear there’s some great programs out there for people like you.

I’m sure digging that image out of your archives was the highlight of your day, but let’s just review what you said and what little Sallly Fruitcake said:

You:

but we can spin about the surface of the earth at super sonic speeds without feeling any motion?

Her:

How fast would Earth need to spin for humans to be thrown into space?

Seems to be the same core question, no?

Gravity is another unproven theory

Until you have a better one, with math backing it up, this isn’t a productive digression. I personally think the reality is something far more interesting and complicated than simple “gravity”, but, beyond a few interesting ideas (Holographic Universe being one of them, Electric Universe being another), we don’t have anything approaching an “answer” yet.

Windy mentioned convertible

Here’s his exact quote:

“ Earth being a convertible, there is no way it is moving.” Where the “it” being discussed is the atmosphere. My link does explain why the atmosphere (especially at the surface and the next few hundred feet) is moving (rotating) at roughly the same speed as the surface of the earth itself. This is known as the “no-slip boundary layer”, an indisputable fact of the physical world.

The other question:

Wondering how earths atmosphere doesn’t escape into the void of space

Has an entirely different answer, relating to entirely different forces than the first question. It can be boiled down simply however, because all that is relavent to this answer is the net forces present on the particles of gas in the atmosphere, and when the math is done, gravity dominates, and holds in our atmosphere (almost all of it - you might be aware that things like pure helium gas will have a balance of forces which yields a net force that overcomes gravity and escapes the atmosphere into space)

It’s called gravity genius. And that link is about the atmosphere being dragged by the earths rotation (no-slip boundary layer fluid dynamics), nothing to do with the force of gravity overcoming the other forces acting on particles of gas which make up the atmosphere (thus “holding in” the atmosphere without some kind of firmament or whatever it is you’re suggesting here). Two different concepts.

Here’s an article that answers your question, and it was written for a 10 year old girl:

You cant have a gas barrier around your [planet] that keeps the environment out.

That’s incorrect:

but I'm surprised I've never seen any threads calling for more AMAs and round tables, they really represented a golden era of the sub.

They really did, which is probably why they’ve been memory-holed so hard. Even years ago though I was getting fed up with how manipulated the various front pages were (r/con to a lesser extent than other subs, but still present for sure). The TuMORs campaign of subversion was long and meticulous. I can’t even browse there anymore, it’s just not a valuable use of time lol.

Cheers, and I hope you consider attempting to (continue to) resurrect that golden age here

Hey, do you remember when the man who made this video, Alan Green, did an ama on r/conspiracy? Was it you who set that up? I always thought that was awesome, how you got (I think) Whitney Webb, the “dark journalist” guy, and this guy Green to actually participate in discussions a bit.

Edit: found the AMA for anyone interested:

Did you miss the part where the atmosphere rotates with the earth?

It’s called a fluid boundary layer, look into it:

Well... you’re saying that “the official story” implies that the gun would function differently depending on the direction it’s fired, which is the thing I’m trying to address. But fair point about your actual belief being that the system isn’t rotating.

why would the momentum continue if the balloon is no longer attached to the spinning object

What’s going to stop it? A teensy bit of resistance from the wind? The wind that gets thinner and thinner the higher up you get? And anyway, hot air. An object in motion will stay in motion unless an opposing force acts on it, and I’m not seeing the source of the force which would counteract the balloons natural x-component of its velocity in your example.

by nc777

Graphenium 2 points ago +2 / -0

When the ballon takes off it has that X-component already present in its velocity. Just think about what you’re saying dude.... you are saying that if you shoot a gun to the East, it will behave totally differently than if you shoot it to the West. Does that line up with your experiences?

Edit4yourEdit:

Are you seriously suggesting that insects don’t “burn” their equivalent of “fuel”? Have you heard of this thing called “chemical potential energy”?

1
Graphenium 1 point ago +1 / -0

People often talk about the logistics of something like the great pyramid. But rarely does anyone ever think about the massive amount of planning and math/engineering that would go into a structure that size.

This is a great point. Have you ever seen the John Anthony West produced show called “Magical Egypt”? It’s all about the wisdom encoded into the construction of a couple of different sites of ancient Egypt. Highly recommend to anyone interested!

Bullets can’t course-correct mid-flight by burning fuel dude. That’s what most of your “problems” reduce to: burning fuel to overcome naturally present forces

An apple randomly falling due to the stem snapping shouldn't have any force in the x axis, only y due to (g) acceleration at 9.81 m/s^2. (the cause of this can be debated elsewhere, but it does reliably occur.)

No offense, but this is incorrect. If you believe the earth is rotating, then everything on the earth is rotating with it, including the trees, and thus the apples on the tree. The apples still have an “X component” (aka horizontal motion).

Imagine you dropped an apple in a moving train.... does it fall straight down to your feet, or does it fall “behind” you as the train drives forward?

Exact same scenario here
