Many people have learned that seed oils (soybean oil, canola oil, corn oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil, cottonseed oil, etc.) are not good for you. For better health, olive oil and avocado oil are preferred.
So companies have started making products with only olive oil and avocado oil. Even though these products are much more expensive, people are buying them for the promise of no seed oils.
The problem? The companies are not honest. They attach labels to these products claiming 100% avocado oil, or 100% olive oil, but it just isn't true.
The University of California at Davis published a study about a month ago in which they tested a number of food products for authenticity and label accuracy.
You can also get a PDF version of this study at the above site.

In this summary, a checkmark in the far right column is good. The lack of a checkmark is bad, indicating false labeling.
That's what I thought too. But if you never had it, it would be ok, you can still be completely healthy never having ever consumed a drop of olive oil.
So, even though there's "science" making us feel safe to believe it, olive oil still isn't vital for health.
You can use beef tallow, ghee, butter and be completely Healthy. But you're know "science" says animal fats are bad for us.
At what point so we agree trusting the "science" is the most unscientific logic available.
Look, there is plenty of science that shows that a carnivore diet is healthy, plenty of science says vegetable oils are not healthy, plenty of science that viruses are not foreign but created by your RNA and not harmsful. Science falls on all sides, studies can't think for you.
Absolutely. I am in complete agreement. I am not saying that you MUST have Olive oil to be healthy. Animal fat is of course great for us.
Vegetable oils and seed oils are the worst and anyone can look up how they are made. Olive fruit is completely different though. That tree can almost live forever with an amazing ability to regenerate.
Different body and genetics types can have different nutrition needs. If carnivore works for you that's great. Just make sure the meat itself is good. (Not injected with antibiotics, hormones and stuff).
I personally use common sense for food and none of those expert studies. I just compare to real old people I knew and how they lived.
I suspect that most diets can get you to live long and healthy as long as NOTHING processed is in it. Details matter. Even grains and such are good but not the modern farmed one with modern industry, pesticides etc..
