The difference between the followers of Jesus who died by martyrdom and some poor sucker who blew himself up thinking he's going to get some virgins in heaven, is that the followers of Jesus who KNEW him. Had it been a lie they propagated, for which NONE of them profited in money or power or sex like Mohammed or Joseph Smith, they could have recanted to avoid grisly death. Yet none of them did.
